    Quality skillet for the price.
Tried it out last night for some old fashioned goulash. Worked perfectly. Have been looking for a well priced large steel skillet with cover for a while now but couldn’t find the right one. Most are nonstick varieties which I did not want. This is perfect for those one skillet suppers, it is very well made, heavy and strong enough to take some rough handling, the handle is secure and stays cool. For the price this is a great deal for a quality skillet that should last many years.

I’m using this more than I thought
I wanted a 8 to 10″, non-stick skillet with a lid for mainly toasting spices which seems to be hard to find. I’m finding that I’m using this for many more things – partially because it is bigger than what I wanted. It does toast spices with no issues but fries chicken to a nice crispy outside with little/no sticking. I did pancakes this weekend and had no trouble keeping the temp constant (thick bottom) so the inside cooked without burning the outside.EDIT – I’ve had this for 2 years now and it’s still one of my “go to” skillets. I add some oil and then wait until water dances before adding the meat and wait until the pan releases the meat before turning. When finished, I throw a cup of water into the hot pot and let it cool which results in very little scrubbing. It still looks almost new.

    Great Pan
This is a really well made pan. The only thing that I would of liked is a vent hole in the lid. It is easy to keep clean and shiny. It has a nice large cooking space.

    Good but warped…
Just got the pan yesterday. Been looking forward to it. But when I took it out, washed it, and was seasoning it, I realized the bottom was slightly warped and wobbles a bit. Very disappointing. Then after cooking a few things on it (eggs, omelette, vegetable stir fry), I noticed a discoloration already. That is almost as disappointing as the warping…I personally don’t mind the discoloration too much but my wife is very unhappy. And you know, unhappy wife, unhappy life. Also, this is quite heavy so for those with weak wrists, think twice. On the flip side, I like the feel of the weight and the heat seems to distribute quite evenly. The lip height is just perfect for me; not too shallow and not too deep.I just wish I could have gotten one that wasn’t warped. I’m pretty sure all would discolor even if I were to get another one (but would I???) and that’s something I can live with as long as it performs well, but the warping thing is just subpar as it’s not just cosmetic (we have a glass top so when it doesn’t make good contact, it affects the heating of the pan and wastes energy). If you get this, test it for flatness before you use it!UPDATE 9/15/2021:I liked the 12 inch so much (except for the warping), that I got rid of my smaller non-stick and ordered the 10-inch. Got it yesterday and it’s awesome. Nice and flat bottom. Emailed customer support to see if something could be done about my 12-inch. Will see. But the pan is beautiful. Great weight, excellent quality. For those wondering, it is NOT non-stick, but there is an easy trick to make it non-stick. Heat up the pan with some oil/fat (butter not suggested). Coat the bottom evenly and keep heating until you see the oil start to “wrinkle” or ripple. Then, immediately after, it will start smoking. Turn the heat to the lowest setting (or if you have glass top or coil, then just turn off the heat and it will continue on with the residual heat in the element) and let it smoke for 20 to 30 seconds. You now have a non-stick pan (until soapy wash) either start cooking if you require the high heat, or let it cool down and cook if you require lower heat. For washing, I just use warm water and soft brush or sponge/cloth and it’s good to go. If there was a particularly big messy meal prep, then use warm water with soap. After each wash using soap, you will need to season it again to make it non-stick. Enjoy!

    Excellent pan
Finding a 12″ fry pan has been challenging but this one is fantastic. Works great with our induction cooktop!

    great quality fry pan
I will never have to buy another fry pan , solid as my FNC1 , ( NATO 7.62 mm combat rifle made for the CAF 45 years ago) , lolanyway if anyone breaks into your house don’t use a gun on them , hit them with the fry pan.

Poor quality control, loose metal pieces inside pot.
As soon as I unboxed it I was dumbfounded by audible metal pieces moving around, sealed inside the pot. Not only does this indicate the poor quality control, but it means parts of the pot are hollow. Air inside the pot means poor conduction of heat. I have other 3 and 5 ply clad cookware from Lagostina and All-Clad, both of which are substantially heavier and more solid in the hand than this pot. Maybe I just got a major defect, but this was enough for me to blacklist this brand completely. I would not recommend this product, or any other product by this brand. Of course, amazon was great about taking this item right back where it came from.

Because the material is not good after the cooking the steel is not pure

The secret to making this non-stick is to get it hot. You’ll know you’re there when you splash a little bit of water and the water beads slide along the pan. Just don’t heat it too hot though which is the maximum temp listed on the packaging. Then pour your oil.

  13. Hobby hoarder

Don’t skimp and get a clad base. The full clad design is well worth the little extra spend. Nice even and stable heat.
