The book contains a number of computer games that you read about and type into a python code editor. The books shows you how to set everything up. The book explains programming concepts as you go. There’s a lot of great skills your child is learning by working through each chapter. The learn about the filing system, improve their familiarity with a keyboard, how to use a simple text editor and basic programming concepts. The games included are very well thought through as they don’t require much code but each does something interesting and will teach your child some new programming concepts and give them a sense of achievement.

veramente ben fatto con immagini e colori che attirano e incuriosiscono i ragazzi , attenzione però è in inglese ed è molto basico, tanto è vero che si rivolge a un pubblico dagli 8 anni in su

I’m excited to share my thoughts on “Computer Coding Python Games for Kids.” This book is an absolute gem for young learners interested in coding and game development. The author’s approachable writing style and well-structured lessons make learning Python a breeze, even for beginners. The book’s focus on creating games adds an engaging and practical element to the learning process. The step-by-step instructions, along with colorful visuals and interactive examples, ensure that kids stay engaged and excited about coding. I was particularly impressed with how the book encourages creativity by guiding readers through the process of designing their own games. It’s a fantastic resource that not only imparts coding skills but also nurtures problem-solving and logical thinking abilities. Great coding book

Excellent book with excellent projects of deep educational value to anyone wanting to understand Python and the workings of object oriented game coding.I think it is unfair to complain about issues installing Python, an IDE and the PyGame library – it is not the author’s fault that setting up Python can take patience and may require some assistance for your system. She covers both Windows and Mac setup and does quite a good job. There are forums online that you can Google and plenty of people who can be helpful if you are polite and take the time to ask articulate questions that can be answered without having to ask more questions. The selection of games in this book is great for kids (supported by adults with some experience) and even provides reasonably experienced people with some fun new ideas. The code contained within is professional in its structure and sets the path for Best practices whilst learning to code in the best way: making games!
