Each page is organized to include sections for daily workouts, meal planning, and even hydration tracking. It’s really helped me stay consistent with my goals, and seeing my progress in a structured way is so rewarding.The design of the journal is also worth mentioning. The purple coloured cover is both sleek and durable, and the size is perfect, large enough to write comfortably, but still portable. The Fitness and Food Pro Journal is quite a substantial item. It is about 18.5cm x 26cm x 2.5cm and weighs about 870g so carrying this around with you, which you will need to do for recording details of gym sessions, should on its own help getting fit! It is very smart journal with its green embossed cover and good quality paper. I really like the fact that it comes with a quick start guide, including examples, as without it the journal would be more challenging. After a table providing nutritional information on a selection of common foods there is an objectives section, so that you can set some overall goals on what you want to achieve, and why. There are even spaces left for you to include before and after photos.Clearly a lot of thought has gone into what you might want to track and there is space in the journal to allow for 28 weeks tracking of a variety of things. There are prompts for progress reviews and even space for you to put recipes in at the back. The largest section of the book is for tracking gym sessions (weights and repetitions of multiple exercise), one page per session. Included in the back are various stickers you can use to decorate pages and motivate yourself. As reflected in the title this is really a ‘pro’ journal, aimed at people who are really serious about fitness and nutritional self-improvement, and who are happy to measure everything to track that improvement. It may be quite daunting starting this off, but I think that for the right people the tracking and detail will help encourage them to commit to change that they want.

I’ve had Clever Fox notebooks before and always find them to be great quality. This one is great too.I’m aiming to get fitter and healthier this year and this fitness and food journal will help me to prepare and track what I’m eating, how I’m exercising and how I’m feeling.It’s pretty thorough and divided into sections to help you keep track of various elements. I like the monthly review pages so it’s not just pages and pages of recording what you’re eaten, what exercise you’ve done etc, but it also incorporates mindful reflection to encourage you to think about your progress, what went well, what could go better, how you’re feeling etc.I’m feeling slightly overwhelmed about starting at this point – both starting my journey to better health and fitness, and to using this book as there are so many elements that I could think about. So, I really appreciate the inclusion of a loose leaf quick start guide, which has an example already filled out so that I can more tangibly see how I can use the journal myself.Paper quality is good and I love the look and feel of the vegan leather cover. There’s a pen loop, three different coloured ribbon book marks and a pocket at the back to pop any loose paper in, so lots of practical, functional touches.It also comes with a few sheets of stickers. Not sure I will really use these, but there are some fun designs and they are easy to peel off and very sticky.Another great product from Clever Fox!
