It’s a good air fryer for 1300w. It does the job. Nice to see through while cooking. Salmon, chicken, veggies, all went well. The probe is something I like. What you need to know tough because of the window (I think it’s the matter) if you put vinaigrette or sauce mixed with meat, veggies, whatever, then you will find a little bit of it all over the place. It passes through . I think it’s a window/seal matter here with the liquid. To avoid that I intend to buy an accessory that fit and use it if the recipe demands liquid. Other than that, it’s fine.

I tried this 5-quart air fryer because Consumer Reports lists it as the second-best air fryer that they tested. I’ve now had it for a week, and I’ve cooked grilled cheese sandwiches, toasted English muffins, frozen french fries, breaded shrimp, and shake-and-bake chicken thighs. I have not had a chance to use the probe when cooking.Pros:- The glass front really lets you see the food cook. If you’re a beginner with using an air fryer, this is an invaluable way to make sure your breading and fries aren’t starting to burn.- Very quiet. It’s audible, but it is so very, very quiet.- While the manual warns that the air fryer can become quite hot, I’ve found the exterior and vent to remain only warm throughout cooking. (The metal basket obviously gets quite hot. High-temperature non-metal tongs should be used.)- Very easy to clean! Food comes right off the non-stick surface. Avoid using cooking sprays that have lecithin, which will gum up the non-stick surface. I’ve only needed a soft sponge and soap for even the cheesiest of messes from a toppled grilled cheese sandwich.- The basket is deep, and can fit two regular-sized hamburger buns (4-pieces). For two people, this is plenty of space. If you have a larger family, you may need to divvy up when cooking, or consider the 8-quart version.Cons:- There’s no lock screen button. If you get stuff on the screen, wait until your cooking is done before trying to clean it off, or you might reset the current cooking cycle!- Remember to avoid layering food. French fries should be a single layer, or the fries in the middle won’t be crispy! This is different than the advice for air frying on the bags of frozen french fries.

I am genuinely impressed with this air fryer. I took a chance at saving big money over buying a more expensive name brand unit. The viewing window is super clear and large, unit is pretty quiet the probe works great, the display is bright and easy to read and of course the most important part is that it cooks great! I wont ding it stars but a few of the negatives would be that the controls are confusing at first. You only get certain button options if the probe is plugged in or not.All in all, im super happy with this. It may fail in a few months, maybe that’s why it is cheap. If that happens I will update the review, but so far I love it and wish I had purchased it much sooner.For those that cant figure out how to turn the unit off, its automatic. Once its done cooking or u press stop the display will stay on for about 10 minutes or so and then sleep.
