All examples are carefully cherry-picked from the crypto markets and many reflect real trades and applications.
Notably, Chart Logic also offers the first chart pattern performance statistics specific to the cryptocurrency markets (both for Bitcoin and USD traded pairs), and the handbook is peppered with data-driven insights. All top 100 cryptos were examined and 3,500+ patterns were sourced for analysis. While, in the spirit of transparency and knowledge sharing, all charts and some of the findings are public for all traders to see at Chartlogic.io, handbook readers get exclusive additional statistics, insights, analysis, and detailed finding summaries for each pattern.
Readers can go from never having used a cryptocurrency or seen a technical chart before to actively trading, mastering chart construction, and building confidence in essential technical analysis techniques. The technical methodology includes fluency in fundamental candlestick formations, chart patterns, trend lines, momentum gauges and divergences, and more. Furthermore, Chart Logic includes strategies and theory covering risk management, tactics for trading different types of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin’s impact on altcoins, avoiding gamblers’ mentality, dealing with losses, and other useful insights every crypto trader can appreciate.

Great book! It’s perfect for beginners or HODLers that are considering dabbling in trading. It gives great descriptions for chart patterns and candle patterns from a crypto-specific perspective. The author clearly went through hundreds of charts analyzing chart patterns and their performance since with each pattern discussed, he provides a table with statistics of how that pattern has historically performed in both USD traded pairs and BTC traded pairs (the comparison of the two is quite interesting). I’ve read multiple technical analysis books, but this is the first one I’ve read that focuses specifically on crypto and the author nailed it. It’s pretty short, but he covered the essentials. This book is clearly geared for new traders, so if you already have technical analysis experience, you probably won’t get much out of it aside from some interesting pattern performance stats and to keep as a reference guide. But if you’re new to crypto or you’re a holder who wants to try your hand at trading or expand your knowledge of chart reading, then this is the book for you.The author spends the first 30 or so pages explaining everything a newbie would need to know. What crypto is, exchanges, wallets, stable coins, trading terminology, margin vs. spot trading, how to place orders, the basics of using TradingView, and how to read candlesticks and charts. The book focuses mainly on chart patterns and price action. The only criticism I have is that the only indicators he covers are moving averages (briefly) and RSI. He explains in detail how to use the RSI and covers the main 4 different types of divergences. But as far as indicators go, that’s it aside from a 3-page section on moving averages. He mentions that he discusses just the RSI because it’s really the only indicator necessary for the trading strategy he lays out in the book, and since this is a book for beginners, I can understand that he didn’t want to over-complicate it. But this book is pretty short so I feel like adding in a couple more sections wouldn’t have detracted from the ‘just the essentials’ style of it. And if someone truly wanted to utilize it as reference handbook, it would have been nice to have a section on the MACD and Stochatics. I also felt he could have spent more time on how to analyze volume since there is only less than 2 pages on the topic. It would be really cool if the author wrote a second book that covered more things and in more depth. While this is a book that any crypto trader might want, it is written for a beginner-level trader. If the author wrote an ‘advanced’ version of the book for more intermediate-level traders, I think it would sell very well and I would absolutely buy it.It’s clear this book is one of the countless self-published books that have come out in the last few years. And so given the quality, unfortunately the chart images aren’t super crisp. They are certainly readable, but the slight blurriness detracted from the reading experience a little bit. I do appreciate that it was printed in color though. That makes a huge difference compared to black & white chart images. This book is better written than other TA books I’ve read from established publishers. So hopefully if the author does decide to write another book, he’ll be able to release it through a better publisher. I believe with the high quality of his writing, it shouldn’t be hard to find a publisher willing to sign him.In summary, this is a great crypto technical analysis book and I highly recommend it for any aspiring trader.

Well I’ve got to say, this book is amazing value and essential for anyone getting their head around crypto trading. Its 5 stars for content but knocked down to 4 as some of the charts are too small to read |author take note)….but the info itself is priceless. Highly recommended……

Not good at all

I have been a buy and hold investor in cryptocurrencies for some time, but I just started getting into the occasional trading of them. I only knew the very basics of technical analysis and hoped I’d find a resource that would address some of the unique elements of crypto trading, such as, how you analyze candlesticks in a 24/7 market and what timeframes on charts one should consider using when making trading decisions. The book “Chart Logic” answers those questions and so many more, including, based on the author’s own research, historical performance of common (and uncommon) chart patterns. This performance analysis is a very helpful additional data point when “building a case” to support a trading decision.Chart Logic is thoughtfully organized, well written, highly informative, and very easy to follow with an extensive number of charts that help familiarize the reader with what he or she should be considering when using charts to assist in his or her trading strategy.I highly recommend Chart Logic to anyone interested in trading cryptocurrencies.

Many charts in the book should have been printed clearly. After all, this is a technical analysis handbook! Perhaps I received a bad copy?
