This set is wonderful! Even cooking, easy clean up, and so great looking. My only complaints are that they are a bit heavy and quite expensive. However, you get what you pay for. They are worth it as I use one or more every day. All teflon in my kitchen is gone!

I typically shop in the middle of the range when it comes to cookware and I can really tell when the bottoms of some are too thin. If I were to take the thickest pan that I have and compared to this one… This is at least twice as thick! Because of the size of the cookware and the fact that some of the pieces will either span two burners or greatly overlap a single burner, the thick bottom allows for much better heat distribution and avoiding hotspots. This was an extra large plus for us as it’s our new cookware with our new induction stove. My only complaint is that two of the pieces are nearly identical but one of them has ridges and the other one does not. I would’ve preferred a different piece or just removing this to bring the cost down. Fortunately for us, we’ll just take one of these square Pans to our other home to use over the gas burner.With cookware of this price, be sure to read the instructions and stay away from nonstick sprays and metal utensils. For the type of cookware that this is, you will not find any better. However with that said, there is new technology (hex technology) that offers amazing nonstick features, scratch resistant to metal and is dishwasher safe. So if you’re spending this amount of money, you do need to consider you’re cooking habits and willingness to do what it takes to not damage your cookware. Still, that style of nonstick finish has its drawbacks as well so it’s really comes down to your preference. So these limitations and the fact that it does not come with any lids for the price is really the only reason I give it four stars.Another comment that I simply have to make is the impeccable packaging. The cardboard is covered in velour to protect your expensive cookware… I’ve never seen packaging like this! I almost don’t wanna get rid of it! You know how it is… sometimes you just wanna hold onto a really good box! ;-p

Caraway continues to impress me with their various cookware products. This set is no different. Each piece in this set is very beautiful but also incredibly functional.The large roaster is huge and can fit two whole chickens and loads of vegetables, or even a turkey. The heat distribution seems incredibly even and when I use it to roast vegetables they get a nice brown sear on them. The double burner griddle is my go-to pan for bacon and pancakes. I’m able to whip out a huge batch of perfectly cooked pancakes in no-time, and I now use this pan more often than my electric griddle. The two smaller griddles are great for grilled sandwiches, eggs, etc.Each pan is incredibly easy to clean. Even when I make a meal that I think will be a chore to clean, these continue to wipe up so incredibly easily with virtually no scrubbing. I’m careful about using medium to low heat and wash with a gentle cloth, and I’m hoping that the ceramic coating will last a long time.The magnetic storage device is a nice little bonus. I store this set in a rotating corner cabinet, and the magnet does a great job of holding everything together so that the pans don’t shift when I’m spinning the cabinet.I did have one pan (the roaster) that arrived with a small imperfection on the ceramic coating. I’ve included a picture with an arrow pointing to the imperfection. So far that hasn’t expanded and hasn’t caused any issues with regard to performance, but I will update if that changes. This is the reason for the one star removed. At nearly $500 for this set, you’d hope that every piece would be perfect.

I could not wait to receive the Caraway Squareware set after ordering it. At $495, this non-stick ceramic-coated set is somewhat expensive but once you consider what you have purchased compared to other cooking sets, the higher price can be justified. My primary reason for ordering this set was my concern with my existing non-stick pans where the non-stick Teflon surface is failing, chipping and contaminating my food. Most Teflon nonstick cookware made before 2014 contain perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) that have serious health issues if ingested. Research shows ceramic-coated cookware is one of the best types of non-stick coatings and Caraway says their ceramic coating are made from a “naturally” non-stick coating without using harmful chemicals. Another key reason for ordering this Caraway cookware set is that Caraway states that these pans will work on an induction cooktop.Ceramic coating cookware does have some drawbacks. It certainly provides a non-stick surface; nothing ever seems to stick to the ceramic coating on the Caraway cookware. Unfortunately, I cannot obtain real sear markings like cast iron or stainless steel. One reason for this is that Caraway cautions using their nonstick ceramic coating over 550 degrees, which can “wear away the non-stick coating. Additionally, Caraway recommends using only wooden utensils so my metal spatulas will need to replaced with quality wooden ones.The construction of these Caraway pans are top-quality that are well-balanced with handles that are strongly attached, providing extra leverage compared to many other less-expensive cookware pans. The handles are oval shaped that allow a better fit and grip for you hand. Additionally, on the underside of the handle there is a bump just over halfway down the handle to provide an easy indicator as the proper placement of your hand from getting too hot. This design feature allows one to use the pans without an oven mitt or towel. The handles on the roasting pan are taller and are designed to allow easy lifting out of an oven when roasting heavy meats. The roasting rack is very sturdy and will not distort over time and sits low in the roasting pan providing additional stability for a large turkey.The square shape of the Caraway Squareware pans provides a better way to sauté vegetables; especially long thin ones like string beans, asparagus, carrots and okra. In addition, the square shape provides more room when making pancakes. Cleanup is easy once the pan cools using a soft, non-abrasive towel.As the pictures show, the packaging of this Caraway Squareware set is extremely good, showing that Caraway takes extra pride in their product and packages the set to ensure each piece is properly protected during shipping.In conclusion, this Caraway Squareway set is a great investment for your family’s health and an improved your cooking experience. This is an easy recommendation.
