This cooking pan works well when used properly, but like any non stick pan if you forget and let it overheat with or without food lessens the non stick coating making the food stick to the pan. Here just four months later I am putting it in the trash. Here I’m thing that this pan is made better than other pans (even being PTFE and PFOA free) so I thought it could withstand a little more punishment for the extra price. Come to find out under the same cooking conditions, it’s the same as a pan priced at $30. Looks nice but it doesn’t hold any better than a lower priced frying pan.

This is one of the more expensive pans I’ve owned lately, and I wasn’t excited to spend as much on one pan. But I wanted something healthier for me, so I bought it. I love this pan. Nothing sticks to it, especially not eggs, like one other reviewer said stuck for them. I don’t know what they’re doing with this pan, maybe placing it on the burner at the highest heat, which would be completely unnecessary, but truly nothing sticks to this pan. I love it so much I’m planning on buying the whole set.

I have been using my 8-inch Caraway Nonstick Ceramic Mini Fry Pan for about a month now, using it almost every day for cooking omelets or scrambled eggs. It has a good weight to it, but is not heavy. The material is thicker than a similar pan by another brand (G—–Pan), and the ceramic coating is also thicker than GP. The nonstick ceramic is so good that most days I just wipe it out with a paper towel after using, no need to use dish washing liquid and water. It comes out looking just like new every time. I’m so impressed with Caraway that I will be replacing some of my other pots and pans with Caraway pieces in the future. It’s pricey, but very well made and worth the investment. Do read the instructions before using since lower cooking temperatures are needed with these ceramic coated pans.

So far so good. The pan seems to be well-built and the coating is amazing (at least when new). Fried eggs, for example, don’t really need any butter, they just slide off. I did have a problem with a lid sticking, but I got that sorted out (one star removed for that). We have several other Caraway items, some of which we’ve had for a couple years now, and they’re still working well. If there’s a change with the coating (chipping or no longer non-stick) I’ll add an update.
