This replacement kit comes with the motor drive socket, handle to remove the blade in the jar and an allen wrench to remove the drive socket. Got the kit as a backup for my Vitamix 5200 Professional series blender.

I’ve had my vitamix for about 10 years and the blade had really gotten dull. Vitamix claimed this “couldn’t happen” because their blades are so strong (eye roll, not true!) and it was outside the warranty. I was upset the replacement was expensive and worried that this knock off wouldn’t work or would mess up my blender. I’m happy to report that it was super easy to swap out (look it up on youtube) and my blender is definitely working better. Undeniable that the actual Vitamix blades are better but this is a good replacement if you need something more budget friendly.

We’ve had our Vitamix for several years and both the drive socket and the blade assembly have gotten stripped slightly. This seems like the perfect set to take care of that. They give you instructions on replacing the blade, which is an extremely obvious task. I’m pretty sure an 8 year old could do that part without any instructions. What they don’t provide is instructions on replacing the drive socket. I had to go to YouTube to find out how to do it, and I was nowhere close to figuring it out on my own.Once finding the instructions, I’m still not sure if I have the drive socket installed perfectly. It’s more of a fault on the part of Vitamix, but it’s pretty much impossible to know if you are lining the wrench up with the bolt correctly. I think I have it tightened, and it wasn’t coming off, but there is definitely some uncertainty. The included wrench, for the blade assembly, isn’t wholly necessary, but is nice to have. It’s a pretty cheap plastic, but it does the job.

I am using my Vitamix 6300 every day to make smoothies. The OEM blade lasts about 2 years before seizing up. Replacements are around $75, so I am always watching for good deals. The package arrived very quickly and besides the blade includes a spare drive socket, always nice to have, as well as a wrench to loosen up the blade assembly in the container.Unless some odd serrated contraptions I have received, this blade looks exactly like the Vitamix version, is very sharp, and spins smoothly without any give.I will report back if it should fail prematurely, but so far all is working well.

This is a great kit for anyone who has been having an issue with old, worn out gears on their vitamix slipping while operating. I am hoping that by replacing these parts, I can gain another year or two out of my vitamix. What a great kit. I recommend.
