  1. Girl down the block

    Totally worthy
Solid and well made. It’s perfect for a stand up desk. I get a little tired of standing sometimes so I switch between sitting and standing and this chair helps with both. It’s expensive but worthy.

Using it for a standing desk chair
I’ve had it for two + years. Still works like new. It’s a good supplement to standing and being able to lean. I use this and also an AK racing chair. Between the two I can get all the sitting, leaning and standing options I need. They’re both high quality chairs, I tried many chairs before landing on these.

  3. BlahBlahBlah

It’s a gamechanger for standing desk users.
Companies, if you have standing desk employees, get this for them!!Been a standing desk user for 10+ years. This is a wonderfully executed solution overall and IMHO the only worthy standing desk chair currently on the market. I’m fully convinced leaning is the future for standing ergonomics.More standing desk users really need to try these. Save yourself from going down giant rabbit holes for the perfect standing chair, avoid anything that’s “perch only”, this is the one you want.

I had a severe and very painful leg cramp problem for many years, night and day, but mostly when lying down in a bed for a period of time. I had to be very careful how I move my legs when I was shifting my body in a bed or needing to get up. And they sometime lasted more than 10 minutes – occasionally more than one cramps in different part of the leg(s). I figured this might have been caused by lying down or sitting in a chair for a prolonged time, restricting the blood circulation and thus depriving oxygen to muscles. So I wanted to see if a leaning/standing chair might help.It DID. After I started using the lean/stand chair (close to a year), the leg cramp almost disappeared. If I did have, it was not so severe that I was able to shake it off easily. I haven’t had any single major leg cramps since. Also I feel more energetic, my knees don’t hurt as much and I can walk easily.I highly recommend Lean/Stand chair to anyone who suffers from night leg cramps or knee problems.I have both Ergo Impact Leanrite and Focal Upright Locus Standing Chair and I would like to point out pros and cons for the both Lean/Stand chairs.Ergo Impact LeanritePro: Seat tilts for a comfortable leaning. Lighter and takes less foot print than Focal Upright Locus Standing Chair.Con: Stiff seat. Floor mat slide too easily and not as comfortable as the Focal Upright Locus Standing Chair. Seat pole is fixed and does not flex as the Focal Upright Locus Standing Chair does. Seat if stiff and not comfortable to sit.Focal Upright Locus Standing ChairPro: Optional Foot mat is highly comfortable and stay in position. Seat pole does flex when you lean back, thus making it more comfortable leaning/sitting.Con: Seat does not tilt for comfortable leaning. Seat if stiff and not comfortable to sit.I think optional seat cover maybe useful.

After my 3rd back surgery, this time to fuse the SI joint……my surgeon suggested a “perch” stool rather than sitting while writing Inspection reports……The Leanrite Elite standing desk chair was purchased and after a short period getting used to “perching”, I would NEVER go back to sitting for long periods of time in front of the computer screen……this “chair – device” truly took the lower back pain away and allows me to “perch” , stand, and even sit, for the best of all worlds! Quality materials and a sturdy build will allow years of service! I highly recommend this product!

I recently switched to a standing desk because sitting down bothers my back. I did a lot of internet research about standing chairs, and I was drawn to the Ergo Impact Leanrite right away, but I didn’t want to spend that much money, so I bought a less expensive chair instead. That was a bad decision. That chair is now up for sale on Craigslist, and I’ve done what I should have done in the first place and purchased the Leanrite chair. I’ve had it for a week, and it is everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s solid, heavy duty, and well made. Three levers make it very easy to adjust height and seat angle while standing, leaning, or sitting at the desk. I probably best prefer the leaning position with the seat in the vertical position, but I switch it up a lot during the day just because it’s easy to do, and I can’t sit or stand still very long. The pad on the bottom is soft, but firm, and very pleasant to stand on, either with shoes or socks or barefoot. This chair is well worth the money, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stand, lean, or perch at their desk. When the chair arrived, I had it set up in about 20 minutes. It worked right away, but one of the levers had a bit more play in it than I thought it should, so I emailed the manufacturer, and Jonathan, the founder of the company, got back to me by text withing an hour. After exchanging a few more texts, he asked me to send a couple of pictures, which I did, and he sent me a new lever the next day. It arrived, I quickly installed it, and it totally fixed the minor problem that I had with the lever. It’s truly a pleasure to do business with someone who cares about the quality and function of their product.

The manufacturer asked me to look again at my review, and I agree with them that the first paragraph was a little harsh, so I’m rewarding it. As a standing chair, I’d give it 5 stars. As a sitting chair, I give it 3-4 stars. It is not a chair you can sit all day in. You should expect to use it as a standing chair. My goal was to take the pressure off of my tailbone, and it did that, but when my lower back started to hurt after standing most of the morning, I would have to sit, and shift, and stand, and sit in a slightly different position. It went that way all day. My muscles never really went to pain, but it wasn’t like sitting in a recliner or a couch either. I couldn’t just sit on it, but standing and sitting together worked ok. I hope the manufacturer can work on the cushion of the seat. That would make it a 5 star standing chair.I have used this about 3 weeks now. I have learned to like standing. It makes it easier to leave my desk, cycle laundry, get a drink, etc. I am exercising muscles I don’t often exercise. The first week, I had sore legs, feet, arms, shoulders, and especially lower back. It felt good to lay down at the end of the day. The next week, I had much less discomfort. Some in my arms, my lower back, and my feet. That continued through the 3rd week. Beginning the 4th week, I only really feel anything in my lower back, but that could also be because I worked out two days ago and today. I can tell that I’ve been on my feet when I think about my feet, but they don’t scream at me anymore. A little shifting and everything is better.I really like that I can do 4-5 positions for leaning. I can lean against my legs, my lower back, my upper back (and I’m 6′-3″ tall). I like ok that I can sit on top for the space of 20 minutes. However, when I pull in to my desk to use my mouse and keyboard, my knees easily push the stool/chair back a few inches. It’s hard to keep it in one place. You can’t lean it back like some people do with 4 leg chairs. It’s a solid stump. One thing I didn’t anticipate is how much my 3 and 6 year old children love to make the stool go up and down. Every time I come back to my chair, it’s in a different position than when I left. I guess I have to train more than my muscles here.

Tim Cook at Apple calls sitting the “new cancer”, and I can see why. My back pain started to dissipate after only a few days of using this stand-up chair. It is flexible in its use, allowing for multiple positions and heights and allows me to alter my mode very quickly (faster than it takes my desk to raise or lower). I particularly like the padded footpad, which makes it much easier to stand than would be possible on the hard surface. It takes a little getting used to if you’ve not used a stand-up desk before, but that’s going to be true in any case, as you’re using muscles you don’t typically use. This product is solid and well-made and took less than 15 minutes to assemble and start using. If you’re looking for a $100 stand-up chair, you’re going to be disappointed, as most of those aren’t well made or sturdy enough. When looking at the upper-end of stand-up chairs, you’ll find a few that are less expensive and a few that are more expensive, but for the money, the LeanRight is high-value. The flexibility, sturdiness, and quality make it easy to recommend this product highly.
