Feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and exhausted? Give your executive function a 7-week power-up and take control of your life!

For adults with ADHD, executive dysfunction can feel like a relentless roadblock to success. But what if there were a step-by-step toolkit designed specifically for your unique brain to transform your focus, time management, and productivity in just seven weeks?

Are you trapped in a cycle of stress, procrastination, and guilt?

Do sudden emotional outbursts or impulsive decisions leave you frustrated and misunderstood?

Does time feel like an enemy—slipping away while you’re stuck hyperfocused or completely unmotivated?

Have you tried every planner, app, or productivity hack out there, only to become more overwhelmed?

Most traditional productivity advice doesn’t work for ADHD brains. And that’s okay, because this book isn’t about cramming you into a system that doesn’t fit. It’s about creating your own roadmap to success—gaining control from the inside out.

Perhaps you’re thinking, “If I just try harder, I’ll finally get organized and stay focused.”

But ADHD isn’t about willpower or laziness—it’s about understanding how your brain works and using the right tools to work with it, not against it.

Maybe you believe, “Emotional outbursts and impulsivity are just my personality.”

Sure, there are common ADHD symptoms, but they can be managed. This book builds strategic stepping stones to help you take charge of your emotions and reactions.

Maybe you’re worried, “Will I actually stick to it?”

I get it! That’s why I’ve included quick wins, flexible strategies, and bite-sized steps. Plus, there’s zero judgment if life happens—just tools to help you bounce back stronger.

Here are just a few nuggets you will discover in this book to balance immediate results with long-term growth:

Cognitive strategies to curb impulsivity. How to harness the power of hyperfocus without burning out.Pinpoint your top challenges with targeted assessments to tailor your journey and ensure you stay on course.3 steps to emotional awareness. The true face of time management with ADHD.10 neuroscience-backed strategies to transform your mindset and regain hope. How to turn emotional outbursts into opportunities for growth.A stress-relief toolkit to break free from the overwhelm.7 Steps to design your focus zone.Create a middle path towards an organized and calming space. The truth about daydreaming. What healthy productivity truly looks like for us with ADHD.

“I’ve tried everything before, and nothing sticks.”

Here’s the thing: it’s not about you or your effort, it’s about finding approaches that align with how your brain works. Instead of overwhelming you with rigid rules, this book helps you discover what works for you.

“I Don’t Have Time for a 7-Week Program!”

When life is already overwhelming, adding another commitment can feel too much. But you don’t need to tackle everything at once or follow a rigid timeline. You can pick up where you left off, take it one step at a time, and still see progress. Small steps add up to big changes.

“But will it work for me?”

I get it—many resources are too generic. This book isn’t a one-size-fits-all. It helps you identify your unique struggles and adapt the tools to fit your situation, whether you’re a busy professional, a creative soul, or a parent juggling it all.

    A fantastic tool for ADHD
Estelle Rose does it again! She’s once again created a book which has become an essential tool in my ADHD arsenal. Short, concise but packing a punch in terms of knowledge and helpfulness! If you are a new to adult ADHD, I do recommend that you start with her previous books (at least Empowering books for Women with ADHD) because this toolkit builds on the foundation set in her previous work and makes it easier to understand. There is one thing I repeat in all of my reviews of Estelle’s books – I love how accessible they are. There’s no talking down or over your head. And there is an underlying sense of author’s desire to help and share knowledge which I love!I also absolutely love e-workbook which you can access once you get this book! I found it super helpful. My recommendation is that you read this book when you’re ready to commit to 7 weeks of trying out new tools! It really is worth time and effort. And if you are anything like me and love quizzes, you’ll love that there are so many helping you evaluate where you are at in terms of different aspects of executive function.

Whether you’re navigating ADHD yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply want to learn more about it, this book is a must-read.I’m so impressed by the thoughtful way Estelle approached this subject, and I truly believe it will help many people. Kudos on such an important and impactful contribution to the conversation about mental health!

Loved the workbook that goes along with this book
A great set of tools for the toolkit of ADHDI love all the checklist and treatment for dealing with stress. I especially enjoyed the breathing exercises and weekly goals. This book is broken up to weekly goals and task. Adding slowly to your toolbox so that you don’t get overwhelmed and is easier to add in new methods. Being more Mindful and aware and how to make them long term strategies.Understanding how everything is link and how a good diet, good sleep breathing and strengthen all play a part was very interesting to me.

    Great guide
This was an easy, accessible read that includes a variety of tips that can help improve executive functioning. The visual tools and “Key Takeaways” throughout the book really summarize what is being said in a straightforward way that makes it easy to digest. I love the opportunities for self reflection throughout that really pinpoint the areas in which someone may be struggling or need extra guidance. As someone not diagnosed with ADHD, there were still helpful tips within this book that I felt could also be applied to my daily life. I especially enjoyed the chapter on mastering space. Minimalism and zoning within your home can be life changing and these are practices I try to adhere to. I also loved the idea of daydreaming sessions in the chapter on healthy productivity. This is something I’ve already been doing in my life without realizing, but now I feel as if I could be more productive if I go about this with intention.I believe this book can be used as a great tool to go back to whenever you’re looking for guidance and tips for executive function. I definitely recommend having this one on your shelf. This is helpful for those with ADHD, but can also be helpful for those who may struggle in one or more of these categories that may not have an ADHD diagnosis.

Valuable insights about ADHD and executive function
What I love most about nonfiction books is that they teach me something new. Through this book, I learned what executive function really is and how it impacts our daily lives. I also appreciated the book’s structure—it’s well-organized, and the author gets straight to the point. The focus is on the executive function of adults with ADHD, breaking down its key components in a clear and accessible way. I enjoyed the author’s humor and the little text message-style notes sprinkled throughout the book, making it feel like she’s having a conversation with us—anticipating our thoughts (or complaints!) and responding to them. There are several assessments throughout the book that I actually enjoyed taking, even though I don’t have ADHD myself. It was eye-opening to see that I face challenges in some areas of executive function. The book also provides well-explained short-term and long-term strategies that are easy to understand and apply.Overall, I found this book both interesting and informative, packed with valuable insights about ADHD.

  7. Manda

My young adult daughter has been working on an executive function workbook with her Occupational Therapist which got me thinking that, though I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD for over 15 years, this is an area that I could use help with. When I was asked if I was interested in reading this Executive Function 7-Week Power Up, I jumped on it!Estelle Rose truly writes for the ADHDer with a blend of informative text to help grow your understanding of your ADHD brain, and concrete do-able actions. Even in the formatting of the text, breaking each week down into numbered sections with a mix of prose, bolded headings, bullet points, and doodle style graphics keep my attention focused. This ebook has a link to a workbook that contains weekly task lists, trackers and exercises. This is essential to get the most out of this book in my opinion, and best of all, is at no additional cost to you. You can print it out, use a PDF annotation app to fill in, or as I’m doing since I’m old school, use a notebook to record your answers and thoughts. If you have ADHD, I highly recommend this book!

  8. Ayushi

YOU KNOW YOU NEED IT!As someone with ADHD, I’ve tried countless planners and productivity hacks that just didn’t stick. This book is different, infact the whole series has changed the game. Estelle Rose understands how ADHD brains work and offers tools that actually feel doable. Her seven-week plan is flexible, realistic, and full of “aha” moments. I love how she balances science with humor, making it feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. If you’ve ever felt frustrated with traditional advice, give this book a try—you won’t regret it!

  9. Eileen

As a reader with ADHD this book is a eye opener! It gave me a lot of practical tips bur also informed me about a bit of theory behind the diagnosis of ADHD.I loved the small text message prompts and the different fonts in what it was written (it kept my attention haha)I also really liked the graphics, it gave me more insight how some things work in our ADHD heads! As we all know. Sometimes a lot of info is to much to process for people with ADHD! But it was helpfull every chapter had their own summarie, so it was a good pace to keep up with everything!

  10. G.L.B

This is an captivating workbook that is filled with advice, visuals, diagrams, lists, questionnaires, guidance and more!If you’re like me, and find some workbooks overwhelming because you don’t know where to start and it can all be a bit much, then I can’t recommend this enough. There’s so much information in the introduction where it’s explained why us ADHDers find certain things more difficult, but also just packed with so much validation too!It suggests you work through each chapter weekly and it will last 7 weeks, but this isn’t set in stone. I read the book, and then just went through the different sections at different times and worked through it at my own pace!I especially loved the section of Executive Dysfunction because this is something I struggle with on a daily basis, so this section gripped me.I would love to purchase a hard copy at some point so that all the information is together with any notes that I’ve taken and any answers I’ve written down!

  11. Sue-Ellen

This is my third book from Estelle Rose that I have been fortunate enough to read and review. From someone who doesn’t have ADHD, this book is super handy for anyone who knows someone with ADHD as it’s so helpful in educating us about what those who have this condition go through in their every day lives. It’s relatable and easy to understand; it’s even up beat even when talking about serious things! There are some great activities and assessments throughout the book as well as hints and tips on managing symptoms and helping regulate when things get tough. You can take the full 7 weeks to work through each of the sections, or you can read through and utilise what you resonate with most! Highly recommend if you do have ADHD and need a little assistance and advice to make things easier and more manageable in your day to day.
