Game changer!
So I had no idea there was cast iron dish soap and I’m so happy I found out there was, holy hell does it ever make cleaning those SOB’s easier. This product has become such a game changer in my life.I havn’t used the oil yet, I keep saying I’m gonna do it and just havn’t got to it yet. Feels so good knowing you’re actually cleaning your pans, and the brush I use is clean after using it! So I can keep reusing the brush, before I felt like I was just spreading the dirt and grease around the pan and it was all stuck in the bristles of my cast iron brush but not anymore 🙂

Cast Iron Care Important
I had never used soap & oil specially made for cast iron. But I found it does make a difference to the care & maintenance of cast iron ware. I especially realized that the soap did not remove the seasoning as ordinary dish soaps do. Very happy to discover this & very satisfied with these products.

I recently purchased a cast iron skillet from Amazon & saw the ad for the Caron soap and oil recommended for cast iron, so I purchased the set offered. I just used my skillet to cook a pound of bacon and then waited for the skillet to cool down so I could wash it. I found the soap product not as effective as I needed it to be. The directions said to use a teaspoon of soap and hot water which I did but it wasn’t getting rid of the grease at all. I used a teaspoon of the soap TWO MORE TIMES but it just didn’t work very well. I ended up using a bit of Dawn and hot water and that did the trick.I found the Caron oil to be very effective in preparing the skillet for the next time. I followed the directions on the bottle and it worked like a charm.I definitely recommend the oil, but not the soap. I will continue to use the soap since I’ve already purchased it and if I find that it works cleaning the skillet after cooking other food, I will let you know.
