    Very Helpful!
Working from home because of the pandemic has been “fun” but I’ve realized that procrastination is a BIG ISSUE for me… I did struggle with this problem during my master’s program some years ago but it took me a while to figure out that this is what’s been hampering my productivity now as well. I had read (and re-read) “The Procrastinator’s Digest” by T. A. Pychyl – definitely a good resource – but I needed something new to get me started. I ended up buying “The Procrastination Cure” and it definitely made a difference! Even though I “had known” most of the advice given in this book, it was super helpful to “hear” all this from a new source. And the format of the book is great – as the title says, “21 Proven Tactics.” They may not ALL speak to you, but even if half of them do, you are on your way! Just get started 🙂

    Great tips, easy read.
When the book arrived, I said, “I’ll read it later.” Haha! When I did get to it, I flew through the book. I liked how the author got straight to the point. Pinpointing triggers, and giving effective strategies to work through them. I was able to implement one right away, and I’m working on making this my new habit.

  4. Javier

    Excellent book
    Straight to business. 100% recommended

Good summary of the most popular techniques
If you are interested in this topic, certainly read most of the techniques on this book In online articles/magazines. Certainly those tips help alleviate some procrastination, but there’s something deep, even more emotional, that’s not tackled throughout most of these rational tricks.

  6. Andrea N

    Worth it
This book goes over the roots of why we procrastinate and how to tackle it using a variety of tactics that coincide with how the brain works when we’re overwhelmed, when we fear failure or success, or when we’re perfectionists. This book was easy to read and understand and thankfully not filled with fluff. I recommend it to anyone who procrastinates a little or a lot.

This book, The Procrastination Cure, is a positive “one of a kind on Procrastion” to assist you in challenging your procrastination choices by using various techniques and recommendations. Very often, many people push off doing a “to do item” that needs to be done. We realize the importance, but since it takes time and effort, we would rather do something enjoyable. Later, as time progresses forward, we realize that this “to do item” now has some serious consequences from not being done. Our feelings are impacted in a negative way, bringing on a feeling of guilt. How can I be better at getting important “to do’s completed”. Please take a look at this “copied” statement from tactic 3 – “Reward Yourself” – But what if you could enjoy the fun activities while still completing everything on your to-do list? You can! It’s just a matter of setting up a smart reward system. Zahariades, Damon. The Procrastination Cure: 21 Proven Tactics For Conquering Your Inner Procrastinator, Mastering Your Time, And Boosting Your Productivity! (p. 73).
