Shirley Whirley –
No way was this a new book
It came like in the pics – not a nice tightly xlos d new book. And there was some kind of oily film on the cover.
Astrid –
Great!
Great book, and I learned a lot…recipes are simple using familiar ingredients.
Amy J Harris –

I wanted to love this book but I just don’t. As somebody else said, it’s very repetitive. Hoped to maybe dispute this. I’m happy with repetitive if it’s maybe ‘boring’ in the way of standard home recipes where I can find a way around my intolerances or learn a few tricks & cheats. But it’s not at all. There are a lot of sweet potato & egg recipes so if you don’t like either of these like myself, you’re in for disappointment because most of the recipes are sweet potato based. A lot of soup recipes. Aside from these recipes there isn’t really a lot to learn in cabbage with sesame seeds sprinkled on, sweet potato mash, steamed sweet potato, buttered asparagus, zucchini noodles with herb butter, zucchini medallions, a whole steamed cauliflower with herbs sprinkled on top. Very basic, unimaginative with no skill involved, felt like a bit of a page filler. Then you have a few good recipes but they’re just inaccessible unless you spend a fortune on specialised ingredients that you can’t find in any old store. Some of the dessert recipes look good (aside from yes, sweet potato tarts), but it’s hard to find some of the ingredients like the flours and can only find them on Amazon around £5-£6 for small bags. Maple sugar, local honey, paleo bread, paleo noodles, tapioca, tapioca flour, tigernut flour, coconut flour, cassava flour, plus more. A couple of the recipes require that you make homemade mayonnaise with their recipe, if you’re not comfortable making your own mayonnaise then that’s more inaccessible recipes. A bit all or nothing.Also. There is a lot histamine plan at the front with a list of allowed/not allowed foods. Phew. That took some getting my head around and I still don’t understand it. The lists just don’t tally up.Just very disappointing on the whole unfortunately, I wanted to like it but it just hasn’t happened. Sorry!

The number of terrible low histamine cookbooks out there is staggering. This cookbook is the exception. I’ve already made several recipes. They were delicious and easy to make.My one real issue is that total cook times are not listed. And it would be nice if calories were listed, but that’s not a huge deal.Overall, I highly recommend it.
Georgia Masters Earp –
