So far so good.
I really hesitated to buy this chair because it had no reviews, anywhere online. It looked like a new model from the manufacturer. And I really enjoyed other people’s reviews! So here I am. The price was significantly lower than other ergonomic chairs. So I took a leap of faith and bought it. This is my first ergonomic chair ever, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. LOWERBACK: I work from home all week so sitting on a chair for 8 hours in a day is normal for me. I’m 172 cm and weight 78 kg (172 lbs), so not a large man. I exercise a lot but yet, at over 50 years old, my lower back began to give me problems. So a TRUE lower back support was becoming imperative for me. This chair has got some REAL lower back support so a positive big check for me. I don’t know if it’s the case with most ergonomic chairs but the fact that it forces you to sit very straight, while still holding your lower back immediately made my whole back feel better after one day. FOREARMS: The capability to adjust backward the armrests (to slide them backward) has been great too. Now I feel like my whole forearms are well supported instead of maybe 80% of them before that. My elbows are not floating in the void anymore. SHOULDERS: I’m not sure if a much taller person would feel comfortable about the shoulder support. I don’t mean the whole height of a person, but the lenght of the Chest+Stomach. This is not adjustable but it’s fine for me. HEAD: On the contrary, the head and neck resting part is completely adjustable. That has been a nice surprise for me. FOOT: I was attracted by the foot and legs resting capability. You’re just not going to sit straight like a robot all day. Previously, I found myself sliding down the chair numerous times in a day just to rest my legs or to change position. And THAT has been increasing my lower back issues over the years. The chair’s legs resting capability gives me an option, while still holding my lower back. Even just for 10 minutes, or even 5, it’s nice. (Now I just have to start doing Yoga to become more flexible). PRODUCT LONGEVITY: I don’t know about that yet but the whole chair seems rock solid. Assembling it was easier and faster than many Ikea products I bought in my life. The important joints are all made out of strong metal. I thought the screw heads were a bit soft so be careful with those.
