Another piece of cast iron cookware.
I love my cast iron cookware and use them a lot. They’re indestructable and one of the nice benefits is you get a bit of your iron needs from this kind of cookware. It’s not toxic like aluminum or non-stick and if you care for cast iron properly they become non-stick…just like stainless steel. If you’re new to cast iron and would like to try it out for the first time, watch a bunch of ‘how to care for your cast iron’ videos on YT first! Don’t air dry, don’t put them in your dishwasher. Use, rinse, dry immediately and put a thin layer of olive oil or coconut oil. These are the best two oils as they are non-toxic as opposed to seed oils or ‘canola’ (rapeseed oil) which is a genetically modified oil also used to make linseed oil used in industrial applications. If you work with wood, you’ll know the smell. Same stuff for kitchen. Look up rapeseed in Wikipedia for more info,Back to cast iron – I’ve tried a number of conditioning oils – expensive and just…meh. I’ve also used Crisco shortening but (in my books) olive or coconut does a fine job.

    Huge difference in baking
After years of always using the bakers aluminum loaf pans. I wanted to give these cast iron loaf pans a try. Very pleased with baking results, they are pre seasoned meaning ready to bake ! Bakes bread beautifully. I have been baking bread on a reg basis meaning our family never buys bread out. A secret that should be shared by bakers for making bread is adding 1/4 cup of dried potato flakes This is what makes bread super soft and bread flour not the all purpose stuff!

Quality that works hard and will outlast me.
This pan is a great sized pan and not too heavy for cast iron. This pan bakes well and very evenly. I should of ordered 2.

    Great Pan
I bought two pans to replace my common coated steel pans. I seasoned them heavily, and baked. The loaves don’t stick at all, but simply lift out. The pans clean easily with a rinse and a wipe, then briefly dried on the stovetop. They stack neatly without binding, and will last me, my kids, and my grandkids indefinitely.
