    Nothing like a Lodge product
Since my wife saw a cooking show highlighting Lodge Cast Iron Products, she has had me get a few of their products. This baking pan is one of the most resent. While not cheap they are well worth the money. Solidly made (made in America), pre-seasoned (so need to go through the hassle of oiling and baking before using), easy to clean and maintain (as per the enclosed instructions) and deliver on the cooking/baking. You can’t go wrong when purchasing a “Lodge” product – also great as gifts – Son and his wife love the “Lodge” product we gave them last Christmas.

    Very nice
It’s a very nice cast iron pan. Seems good quality and good weight. In case it makes a difference to you, be aware that the measurements listed don’t include the handles. The rectangle pan is 15.5″x10.5″ but It is 19 inches long with the handles.

    Great cast pan!
Sits flat over 2 elements of my induction stove with bridge function. Best smash burgers! Can’t beat cast iron. Cleans up fairly easy also.

    good quality
use it all the time barely have to use any oil food turns out great very worth it

    Packed terribly but arrived intact
It is cast iron, so it’s great. The size is 15.5″ x 10.5″ by 0.5″The package information says it’s not for stovetop use. And it says the metal contains manganese, strontium, and phosphorus.Props to Purolator for delivering it intact despite being inadequately packed in an oversized box, with only a single sheet of kraft paper laid on top.I’m going to use it like a regular baking sheet.

Heavy but worth its weight in gold.
LOVE this company. Have had their frying pans…never thought of a cookie sheet. Have used the same couple frying pans. for ….well married for 35 years and they were not new then…our fav. Now I have made nachos, (which love because they stay warmer long when served on here….plus the no stick. Comes pre-seasoned. Cookies cooked beautifully, evenly….so I am looking forward to many more batches of cinnamon buns, cookies and nachos just to start….if thinking about it do buy…AMAZING!

Wonderful to get some good quality iron in the oven. Great for oven fries and bacon!

A baking & roasting essential that will last forever
A pan that will make you feel like a time-travelling pioneer reminding everyone of the old ways we somehow strayed from. You can also stop scraping away at steel and glass and gently clean it since every roast adds to the rustic seasoning, just be sure to wipe dry to avoid rust. It’s very well made thick gauge that will never warp and with a lifetime warranty like all Lodge products. At $55 CAD thank you to Amazon for the discounted price.

This is really great. It’s extremely versatile. I’ve used it in the oven for chicken, and also on top of two gas range burners as a griddle for pancakes, which saved a lot of time. It’s surprisingly easy to clean even though I did not reseason it before using it out of the box, like is usually suggested for new “Lodge” cast iron products. The review section asks for a rating in the ease in cleaning, the versatility, and the… flavor? Oookay. Well…? The cast iron baking pan (sheet pan with sides?) has no flavor. So… that part is also good. No weird flavor. Also, just plain, it’s got no flavor except when food is in it. Then it tastes like the food you put in it.*(*”This pan has a minty fresh flavor that wakes up your mouth” not appearing in this review. Also, “This pan tastes like pineapples and ginger ale” not appearing in this review.)Other useful information: It’s got heft to it. It’s not lightweight. This is hefty cast iron, it weighs more than a glass 9×13 deep baking dish does. Maybe twice what a glass baking dish of its same approximate size would weigh. The handles that are built in are really useful, super sturdy, but it’s not a lightweight item. You’ll want to use both handles (and some pot holders) when moving it into or out of the oven. Its sides are one inch in height which is sufficient for things like catching the moisture released during baking chicken, while still not being so tall that the sides would impact alternative functions such as using it for a cookie sheet. It takes a little while to cool down before/after cleaning it (and then drying briefly on either the stovetop or in oven so it’s completely dry) before it can be put away. I also wouldn’t wash it directly, piping hot, from the stove unless I was using equally hot water to wash it with. I think sudden huge temperature shocks could possibly damage this full sheet pan, like if using cold cold water on a hot iron pan. This was an expensive sheet pan- at least I thought so- but it’s incredibly versatile and it’s nicer having ONE really functional thing than it is having half a dozen nice things that are only functional for one or two applications. It’s more minimalistic. It doesn’t have toxic nonstick coating on it, so you can use any kind of utensil on it and still not consume the poisonous fumes or chipped teflon or whatever that other baking sheets usually have. It’s just simple and does its job well.It heats evenly, just as all good cast iron does. Like other good cast iron cookware, it’ll also probably still be doing just as well at what it does, many decades from now. BIFL

Crispy roasted potatoes that are not achievable with aluminum oven pans.

  11. Tony Rosati

It heats evenly, bakes beautifully, and adds a subtle richness to everything from roasted vegetables to crispy-skinned chicken. The pan is heavy and durable, and it’s easy to clean with a good scrub. It’s a worthwhile investment for any home cook who loves the taste of cast iron.

Bought during special sale and thus it is super bang for buck!

I’ve been working on removing our nonstick and aluminum cookware from the kitchen, and I’m so glad we did. These pans are heavy, as all cast iron is. They are made to last though, as long as you keep them dry when you are finished cleaning, with a very light coat of oil for storage. These also do a wonderful job of making sure whatever cookies or biscuits you are cooking end up with a perfectly crispy bottom. Just make sure that you preheat them with the oven.If you take care of these, you will be able to pass them down for decades to come.
