A Helpful and Encouraging Read!
With a daughter diagnosed with ADHD as a young adult, I’ve read my fair share of ADHD material. Essential Life Hacks for Thriving Women with ADHD lives up to its name.It does a great job of highlighting the many remarkable aspects of ADHD brain functioning while acknowledging some of the challenges that can crop up. I like that there is recognition that ADHD symptoms don’t all arise from the same physiology or neurotransmitter action (e.g., some with ADHD have too little dopamine or dopamine receptor activity, and others may have too much) and that, therefore, the reader will need to discern which hacks make the most sense for their situation. As a nutritionist, I value the input on diet. Perhaps the only thing missing from the book’s reasonably comprehensive coverage of ADHD is information on medication or supplements that have been found helpful for some people.Overall, though, it was a very helpful and encouraging read.

Awesome Book!
I found this book when I needed it the most, which is how many things in my life seem to manifest. For years I questioned why I couldn’t focus or accomplish what I started out to do. This book helped me to understand how a unique ADHD brain works and the strategies to overcome many of the frustrations associated with ADHD. It is written with compassion and a personal flair and just the right amount of humour. Kept my ADHD brain engaged and I finished it in a few hours. Well worth the read!

“Essential Life Hacks for Thriving Women with ADHD” by Amber Hudson is an empowering and practical guide tailored for women seeking to harness their ADHD as a superpower rather than a limitation. Written by a Holistic Wellness Coach who has personally navigated the challenges of ADHD, the book offers proven strategies to enhance focus, boost productivity, and create balance in every area of life. From setting up ADHD-friendly routines to managing finances, organizing spaces, and nurturing authentic relationships, Amber provides actionable advice that resonates deeply with her audience. I personally relate to the struggles of organization—my “organized chaos” works only because I’m the one navigating it—so I greatly appreciate books like this. The bonus 7-Day Feelings Journal with affirmations is an added treasure, promoting emotional connection and self-regulation. This book is a must-read if you’re ready to transform chaos into clarity and start thriving!
