Nothing sticks
The best frying pan i’ve ever had, by far. Cooking on this frying pan is a different experience than any other. Eggs glide around the pan instead of sticking to it. You don’t have to cook on high heat, reducing splatter, in fact the instructions tell you not to, and food cook quickly, in control, without the greasy mess and smoke. We have gas burners, but in this way, it’s like cooking on an induction. Easy cleanup as nothing sticks to it. Get silicon utensils to not scratch. The back scratches easily, but who looks at the back?

Fantastic commercial style non-stick pan with smooth surface
Very very nice construction quality, exactly like the high-quality commercial pans I’m used to. If you are used to more houseware stuff this may be a different design for you, especially in the handle. Commercial handles tend to be longer and heavier, which the Tramontina definitely is. Made in Brazil. I’ll say the silicone handle cover is a bit out of place on the 8″ version, just forcing your hand far down the handle. I’ll probably take it off even though its nice. I just started using it so can’t comment on the non-stick longevity, but I will say this depends tremendously on the user. Don’t turn it above medium heat, avoid hard spatulas etc, always use oil, and always start from clean. As a new pan, it feels miraculously non-stick as expected. The cooking surface is a classic smooth finish. Over many pans and many years I’ll say that I’ve seen better longevity from the more modern rough surface finish (like Heritage and Ninja). But smooth has its place too. This 8″ pan is perfect for eggs. Great value for $ imo.

Great frying pan not made in China
What are durable and heavy duty frying pan!!!It’s a little on the heavy side for someone elderly or with arm weakness however, it cooks extremely well. It’s a lot of stuff and it’s well-made. It’s very hard to find cookware not made in China or very cheap material so this is it well made.

Decent Pan at a Decent Price
While I wouldn’t call myself a professional, I cook a lot. Recently retired some All Clad pans after about 10 years of use, and was looking for a replacement what would not break the bank. After reading some good reviews about these pans I decided to try them for myself. First impressions are that they are decent quality, light and easy to handle for tossing, and the non-stick seems good. Time will tell how they are for durability, but so far so good.

Great pan. Size matters
Exactly the type of pan you want, especially if you cook with gas.The 8″ measurement is across the top of pan. Shoulders of pan are very sloped, and flat surface at bottom is about 5.5″. It’s a small pan – and will do small pan things in a most wonderful way.

As good as advertised
I needed a pan, and bought this one after reading a recommendation in the New York Times. It is lightweight, really is non-stick (I usually use a little bit of oil and cook on medium) , easy to clean and has no smell. Everything cooks evenly also. The only negative that doesn’t apply to me is that is it not suitable for induction stovetops, so if I ever buy one I’ll have to get the version with the steel bottom. The pan this one is replacing smelled from the first day I used it until I disposed of it a year later and food also stuck to it and I paid over $100 for it. So this one is a pleasure and I’m happy to recommend it.

Pan is falling apart after barely any use
Pan is absolutely NOT dishwasher safe. I have a number of pans and don’t use any one more than the others, this one is corroding on the bottom and severely peeling. For the price this is absolutely wildly bad, after only maybe 10-12 trips through the dishwasher? Never again Tramontina.

Solid quality
Already have the 8″ pan for a year and love it. We therefore bought the 12″. Good handle and weight, easy to lift.

THE very best pan for frying I’ve had in my over 60 year cooking experience. I bought the larger size and came back for the smaller pan for making a couple of burgers or eggs etc.,. It’s also deep enough for a single or double serving of pasta carbonara. The pan is sturdy, with superior heat distribution, and washes up with the non-stick surface in seconds. As an older person, the heavier cast iron pans are getting too cumbersome to handle anymore. This pan has an even, hefty weight without being so heavy that it takes two hands to lift. I highly recommend for those of us with arthritis and other aging challenges.

I have been buying Tramotina skillet for years and they last a good amount of time. If you can keep people in your household from using knives or metal on your skillet. I made a purchase that I realized when they came in were 2 of the same size. No problem. I’ll order next size up and keep on cooking. Nonstick good stainless steel bottom and easy to clean. I love these skillets
