Can’t Think of Anything I Would Improve Upon … Yet
This chair had a lot to live up to. I have an authentic Zody which I have used & loved for 5+ years now. However, after recent surgery, I found myself longing for a foot & a head rest which my Zody didn’t have. So, when I saw this chair by LarkLeaves my attention was piqued. It had both the head & foot rests & it also had the lumbar support that I now cannot live without after having grown used to it for the past 5+ years. I read about all the additional features that were included with the LarkLeaves chair so I went ahead & requested it.It arrived quickly & was very securely packed. I had occasion to contact LarkLeaves support to ask a couple of questions & to share a concern I had about the chair. They responded at the speed of light, & were incredibly informative & went out of their way to be helpful. Really top tier customer relations go a very long way & I was left feeling a lot better & relieved to have had my questions & concerns answered & addressed.Because of my recent surgery I did enlist the help of a professional for assembly & it was accomplished in no time at all & without any difficulty whatsoever. I feel relatively confident that I may have been able to do the assembly myself had I not been in recovery.Well, what can I say about this chair? It’s a dream to sit in & quite literally because I have cat-napped on it. Napping was something I could never do with my previous chair because of the lack of a foot & head rest. They have made all the difference in the world for my needs. I also love that just about everything on this chair is adjustable. I spend a lot of time at my desk so sitting in the same position can get uncomfortable unless I reposition myself. Well, with LarkLeaves, the chair does all the work.I like the mesh back. I wasn’t used to sitting on a mesh seat, my last chair was cushioned, but I have a couple of chair cushions designed for office chairs so I can use them if/when necessary but I haven’t needed to yet. I am so happy with all the options, I mean who doesn’t like choices? There’s even a coat hanger so I don’t need to have my cardigan bunched up on the seat behind my butt. I now have a dedicated spot for it.I could carry on but suffice to say I have nothing remotely negative to say about this chair. Now I say that after not having & using it for a very extended period of time. Once I have though, if I come across anything that bugs me a bit or something I think could be improved upon, I’ll be back here to edit &/or update this review.As far as the current selling price is concerned, I don’t think it can be any better in terms of value for money – what price can you put on living/working in comfort & without pain. I haven’t been able to part with my Zody even though I’ve not been using it. I know I must because I’m in an apt so space is precious but I want to make sure it goes to someone who will love & appreciate owning an icon of architecture as I sit here in complete comfort, style, & just a bit of smug satisfaction, lol.I hope your decision will be even just a bit easier after having read this – wishing you the best of luck!

Comfortable for small to meduim build person
First of all, the installation tooks me about 45mins. It is pretty straight forward. The screws are well labled and the all aligned properly.This is more than a basic office chair. The armrest can be adjusted up/down, forward/backward/inward. There is some pading on the armrest and so it is comfortable to rest on.The lowerback support is very strong. Some people may find it too much. The tension can be adjusted and also the height. So it can support different position.Same as the headrest. It can move forth and back, up and down and change the angel. I am about 5’7″ and my head can fully rest of it.This is a complete mesh chair, both the seat and back are mesh. Not everyone like meshed seat beacuse it doesn’t feel comfortable when wearing short. Also, I found mesh provide less support for heavier person. I am about 160lb and I do feel a bit sagging when sitting on it. However, mesh is more breathable and provide more ventilation for longer hours of sitting.The last thing about this chair is the footrest. It is easy to pull out the footrest, When it is fully extended, it support the back of my lower leg.This chair has a pretty good build quality overall. If you are ok with mesh, it is a comfortable chair. It can last a long time.

There is a lot to this review so I will start with the build process.It looks a bit daunting sometimes. The instructions are fairly clear except for a few areas that could have been a bit more carefully drawn. Particularly I mean with the footrest. The footrest has two sliding poles and they go through two L shape blocks that are mounted underneath the seat. The blocks screw in from under the panel on the seat. Not on top. You will see when you get there. It’s not really all that difficult and it can be done by one person, though you do have to connect the back to the seat. If you arent strong enough you may want to have someone on hand just to hold it in place when you connect it.As to the chair itself, well, it’s pretty good. I am 6 foot 1 so need something large and this is it. The back is supremely comfortable but the seat a bit less so. It’s a lot more comfortable when you pull the foot rest out. But then you will be so comfortable you will likely fall asleep in it. All in, it feels a bit stiff and the front of the seat could be a little better.The lumbar support, though. Wow that is something else. I love that panel in your lower back that just feels like someone made it for me.The adjustability is really good with this seat, too. The foot rest slides out on two poles and you have to flip it. I wonder that there could be a better design for that out there somewhere but I can’t complain. It makes the chair so very comfy.The arm rests have triggers underneath that are very accessibile and you can move them up, down, or slide back and forth to suit yourself.The headrest also has a button to let you adjust the tilt to it. And there is a lever down below to use the lift. There is also the usual dial for seat adjustment below the chair.It is a good chair but for this price it really isn’t the best I’ve sat in. The seating panel needs some work because it feels like it just doesn’t have enough depth, and a bit shorter than I need it to be as a taller person. Perhaps someone shorter might find this a bit more comfy, but the lumbar support is beautiful. So there’s a bit of a trade off on this one that you have to consider before you spend money on it.Edit, the wifey unit is 5.7 and she loved this chair. She didn’t have the same issue with the depth of the seat so I changed this from the original 3 star rating to a four. It’s not the chair, it’s me.

I’m pleased to own this chair. It has replaced a relic from my office. It is very comfortable, with great airflow for all-day use. Before receiving it, I thought the leg-rest was a bit gimmicky; however, once I tried it, with the the chair locked in laid-back position, I had trouble regaining my wits before I fell asleep. It would be very easy to fall asleep for an hour or two in this chair. It reminds me of our zero-gravity massage chair for comfort.This chair is not perfect. It has several shortcomings; however, it is comfortable, has modern features, and looks good. After assembling it, I “visited” it several times yesterday—I like it a lot.Pros:1. The assembly instructions are very good. Each stage has a clear diagram, and an individually numbered bolt set, including a description. A 5mm, T-handled hex driver is included. A set of spare bolts is also included.2. Assembly was straightforward; everything lined up as it should.3. There is no wheel binding; the chair rolls well.4. The chair is very comfortable, with good lumbar support.5. The chair has a range of features: height adjustment of the arms and headrest; lateral adjustment of the arms; locking, layback seat; adjustable lumbar support; extendable foldaway footrest.Cons:1. The features of the chair and adjustments should be described in the assembly manual.2. I would prefer the chair’s upper limit to be higher. It is only just high enough for me; I’m just under 6ft.3. The lumbar height adjustment is difficult to adjust. I may be doing something wrong, but in the absence of a description in the manual, my point stands.4. The height-adjustment piston has no shock-absorbing properties. Be careful when lowering the seat. Use your legs to cushion your body weight.5. The arm adjustment could extend further.

Immediate observations:Instructions are easy to follow for assembly. There is also a YT tutorial if needed, I did not need. Very adjustable including lumbar, height, recline, armrests, headrest, and foot rest. Mesh material would make it easy to clean. Seems a bit too flimsy for a large person but perfect for a teen or small/average person.2wks later:Very customizableYou can recline it as much as you wantSeat adjusts during recline to make recline more comfortable.Armwrests are very adjustableSitting down all day is not causing any body achesThe material feels higher quality than a cheap chair, however compared to an expensive chair the material seems thin. It will be interesting to see how durable this is over time.
