I love this teeny tiny crock. Same quality and features as a larger version, just tiny!I routinely make meals that would taste great with some roasted garlic, but I sometimes get intimidated by the thought of roasting just garlic in the oven, when nothing else I’m making requires the oven.Enter this teeny crock!I peel as many cloves of garlic as will fit into the crock with the lid able to close, then I top off the crock with olive oil, put the lid on, then stick it in the TOASTER OVEN (!!!) for 45 minutes at 400°. If this is the first step to making dinner, the garlic is ready at basically the same time the rest of the meal is ready to be plated and we have beautiful, fresh roasted garlic!Easy to clean…since I’ve only really put olive oil and garlic in this crock, I take the garlic out to eat with dinner and let the oil inside cool, then pour it off into a jar (voila, delicious garlic infused olive oil!!) and then I run the open crock under hot tap water to remove most of the film from the oil. If it still feels really greasy, I’ll put some course salt inside and rub it around my with hands and rinse again with hot water. Finish the process with a drop or two of fresh olive oil and rub it all over to support the finish, and put it away until it’s next use.
