Great desk, dont forget a phillips screwdriver
I love this desk, it’s exactly what I wanted, and just the size I needed for my small space. It feels sturdier than I expected. I saw some reviews about the wood desk top piece coming in two sections, this is no longer the case, it’s one solid piece now. I also saw complaints about the packaging, I definitely didn’t have this experience, it was packaged very well, with protective corner pieces on the desk to protect it from getting banged up. I love the material of the desk, I think there’s a type of solid plastic or something coating it. It feels very solid and strong and resistant to scratching and damage. (I was worried it would be a cheap particle board desk that’s easily shredded up but definitely not) There is a tiny little drawer included to hold your pens and sticky notes or whatever, very appreciated. The side hooks as well I found a use for. Make sure to check the lengths of all your cords before raising the desk. It took me by myself a little less than an hour to assemble, trying to be very careful. There’s not really any text for the instructions, it’s pretty much just pictures. It looks a little overwhelming at first, there were a few confusing parts but if you study the diagram and line everything up to make sense first it’s fine. The instructions do say all you’ll need is the included allen wrench, but to attach the control panel it’s some phillips screws and little screw holes, you definitely need a screwdriver to complete the assembly and that’s not provided. There’s 4 buttons to save height presets which is awesome, because it takes about 30 seconds to raise or lower the desk and you can just double press the button and it’ll raise for you, no need to hold it down. Saving or updating the presets is also super easy, you just put it at the height you want and hold the number button to save it. There’s very exact numbers displayed. I’m 5′ 6′ and the range of height is great, it definitely goes higher and lower than I need and doesn’t feel unstable at all. I’ve attached a video to show how much noise it makes and the rotating motor component.I’m not going to say I’m suddenly the pinnacle of health and focus now that I have a standing desk but one month in I’m still really enjoying having the option to stand up and shake off the sludge of sitting, I still use the standing function multiple times every day so far. If you’re an antsy, fidgety person like me you’ll really benefit from it. If you care about the health aspect and were disappointed reading those articles saying standing and sitting burn the same amount of calories, I will say I find myself moving and stretching and wiggling around a lot more while standing so that’s something. It FEELS like it should burn more calories than sitting. Definitely helps my chronic desk-worker shoulder pains a lot as well.Overall, WELL worth this price. I’m very very happy with it. If you’re on the fence, you deserve it. This is a pretty reasonable price for any desk, especially one that moves.

Looking for a great standing desk on a budget? this is it!
This was a great purchase. I was skeptical at first considering other auto standing desks were double the price. But I’m glad I got this. Fits my small space very well. I can fit a monitor, a laptop and has enough space for notebook, water bottle etc. I think the bigger version can hold an additional monitor. The motor on the desk works well and is pretty quiet. The desk was also easy to put together by myself. The finish seems great so far, and is scratch resistant. And I love that there’s an additional holder to hold your hanging cables and hook for your headphones and anything else you want to hang. Would highly recommend this desk to anyone.

What a great desk!
I am VERY impressed by this desk considering the price. It’s noticeably less expensive than IKEA desks, while being of similar or slightly inferior quality. Actually, the height controller is better than IKEA’s.The packaging and assembly instructions are well thought out. The desk is sturdy enough for any normal use. The height control has memory settings. This seems like a small feature, but it’s quite nice to have up to 4 easily repeatable height patterns at the press of a button. The only downside I can think of is that it comes in “two panels” for the working section. The panels are butt-jointed using 8 dowels and are held together by the side brackets. This means that the center is less supported vs “torqueing” efforts. This means that a clamped monitor arm might not be ideal. Having said that, any type of standard usage on the surface (normal monitor and whatnot) is perfectly fine. It’s very easy to compare with IKEA since the latter is very popular for standing desks. The SHW’s desk is close to half the price, but not for “half the product”. For most uses, the SHW will be a great choice for a very reasonable price.

Dual set up
Went through so many review sites to try and find the right desk, went with this one and here’s what I thought:Set up: very straightforward, took me half hour. Everything was labelled and there was a bag of extra hardware.Size: I’ve got my gaming laptop, keyboard and mouse on one side and my work laptop on the other. Isn’t much room in the drawer and it doesn’t slide out smoothly but does the job.Sturdiness: at sitting heights it’s very sturdy. Extended to 43 inches off the ground (where I use it with my walking treadmill) it wobbles. However, the wobble is slight and I don’t notice it because I’m walking. Feels like it’s load bearing, just hard to anchor when the table is extended.Overall, a good beginners desk for the price point. With 20,000 reviews I felt confident going into it and would make the same purchase again.

Suprisingly good quality for the price point. Very easy to assemble solo.
So far, this desk has been great. I was able to assemble it by myself really quickly and easily. The build quality is surprisingly good for the price. The height range is great—so much so that I can’t even use the full height because my power cords aren’t long enough. The top is thick enough to support a dual monitor mount without any issues. The only downside is that the desk wobbles slightly when extended to standing height, but that’s the only issue I’ve noticed so far. The motor is quick and the controller has a large screen and buttons with custom height settings. The cable management hole has also been very useful. Overall, I’m very impressed and would highly recommend it.

Quick to install and build quality is great given the price point. The box wasn’t too heavy and I could move easily by myself. It is great to have a large working surface. The motor is smooth and quiet. The max height is comfortable for me (just under 6ft tall).

This SHW Memory Preset Electric Standing Desk is absolutely amazing! The adjustable height feature is so smooth and easy to use, and I love being able to switch between sitting and standing with the memory preset buttons. The 40 x 24 inches size is perfect for my workspace, and the maple finish looks sleek and professional. It’s sturdy, quiet, and makes working from home so much more comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their workspace! 💻✨

Heavy-gauge, very solid black-coated stamped, drilled and tapped steel construction was a breeze to assemble.Instructions were extremely clear. Sleek, attractive minimalist design. All components arrive in excellent condition, and fit each other exactly as designed.NOTE ON ASSEMBLY: Instructions are very clear. READ them, too; don’t just look at the pictures. At the bottom of every page, the assembly pamphlet clearly advises to WAIT to tighten ALL screws until ALL screws have been threaded into place. This is REALLY IMPORTANT: do this for a straight, rigid assembly. It’s designed this way so that final tightening provides a uniform tension as things get tightened. Got that right the first time around: my desk is flat on its broad feet and dead level.NOTE ON USE WITH KEYBOARD TRAYS: This is on me: I should have waited to order a keyboard tray until I had the desk at hand; I ordered the familiar sturdy Vivo, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H7UGD7Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and found that the desk’s sturdy cross braces do not have sufficient space for this model’s bracket. There is 11″ of free space under the desktop from front edge to the front cross brace; the tray model I’d ordered requires 18″. Again: my problem, but good to know, in retrospect! This keyboard tray is probably unsuited for most electric desks.SAFETY NOTE (unrelated to quality of product) The only snag was a literal one encountered during unpacking: the staple on the end of the red ribbon that secured the plastic bag containing the instruction sheet to the shipping container. The red ribbon extended outside the box (where it was firmly taped to the outside of the package) so it would be clearly visible; I did not anticipate that as I grabbed the ribbon and yanked it, there might be a -staple- securing the end of the ribbon inside the box to the instructions baggie. Ouch!. (This is in no way a problem with the product.)COMMENTS: Great product, reasonable price, fine value.- Seller might consider including front-to-back mounting area underneath for accessories is 11″ max; this is not a typical spec, and may be typical of adjustable-height desks. Velcro wire management strips were included; obviously, I have a couple more to deploy.- Wire basket that holds power supply and excess cable behind the cross-braces seems to have been folded the wrong way around to fit as indicated in the instructions. the tabs on the brace to hold it are a nice, snug fit for the wire gauge, but the transverse reinforcing wires of the basket are on the outside of the basket, so that the basket cannot be inserted into the tabs unless it’s oriented opposite the view in the instructions.Definitely would buy again, but almost certainly will not need to do that: solid, attractive and comfortable product.

I have had this desk for over six months now, and it has held up very well! It does shake a bit when being adjusted and when working on it, so I recommend having it against a wall. The motor works great and was really easy to build – I did it myself in less than an hour! Great desk for the price point.
