Perfect for School
I bought this during the summer, as an alternative to typing out notes going into my 2nd year of nursing school. This is because there have been studies that show you retain more information through handwritten notes, over typed ones But I also wanted a way to transcribe them into text, so I can combine them with powerpoint slides. This product does just that! Even though I had my doubts as to how reliable the transcribing feature was on this. After my 1st week of school, and writing out over 10 pages of notes, I can honestly say this product is amazing. It takes a bit getting used to writting on it, but the transcribing feature is suprisingly accurate. There were times when my handwritting would get pretty sloppy and barely legible, but the app picked up on around 85-90% of the words. I did have to do some clean up and organizing after, but it beats having to type out all the notes that I wrote during class. The app is also pretty easy to use as well. I had to watch a few videos to fully utilize the transcribing feature, but now it runs like clockwork after a few a few minutes of set up. If you’re looking for an alternative to typing out notes, but don’t want to use regular notebooks/sheets of paper, I highly recommend this!

Fascinating tool
In a world of many “high-end” note-taking devices, this is a fascinating tool. It is very ingenious blend of low-and high-tech means. Low-tech, because it uses a real pen on a surface that is very similar to paper. High-tech, because it offers the means to rapidly send to and archive many cloud-based solutions. All along with interesting optional features, like automatic title recognition and/or OCR capabilities.. All at an unbeatable low price, many fold lower than competing existing solutions! At the very least, an excellent value for its price. So far, I found it remarkably useful, and am contemplating the perspective of never loosing notes again!

Pen is the weak link.
The NotePad itself is excellent. The pen stopped working after 4 days. I bought new pens, but had to scratch off debris from the tip of the pen before it would work. The consistency of ink flow was also sporadic. If the pens were more reliable it would be an excellent product.

Nice to use
I like the ability to jot notes by hand but still save them electronically for quick reference later. If you’re someone who likes pen and paper this is a great reusable option

Writes like a charm. Erasable.
I had bought some notepad-style Rocketbooks awhile back, but I could never find notes that I took in them because I’d have to flip through the pad front to back, back to front… With this Rocketbook, I can always find my notes in the order that I wrote them. The Frixion pen ink erases well with the rubber tip after the ink is dry. If I get impatient and erase it too soon, it smudges. The pages wipe off easily with the wet cloth that comes with the notebook. Plus I love the colour!

Convenient… until it isn’t
I received this as a gift from my wife. I go through a ton of paper in the run of a week. I also spent a lot of time transcribing what I write for my work. This does a good job of helping reduce the amount of paper i use since you can erase a page and use again. On top of that, it does allow me to snap a pic with the app and store what I have written. The moment you start to use it though, you’ll notice some oddities. This isn’t paper, its a type of plastic. Reminds me of the texture of Canadian money, you won’t tear it. With that said… being plastic, it feels a little different to write on. The other downside is that the “paper” has a slight sheen to it… so if light hits the page just right, it can be hard to see what you have written. The last issue I have is… when I run out of pages… I need to take half an hour to wipe all the pages clean so I can start again. The special pens that it uses are decent. I do find that after a while, the pens almost start to slide on the page and not always write. I suspect that the friction on actual paper helps the ball in the ballpoint to easily roll, but on these plastic pages, a little gunk an they start to slide… I use a piece of paper to get the pen working again. Finally, over time, the pages will start to show their signs of wear. I’ve had this for a few months now and you really start to see the strokes from previous sessions show through, it stands out even more since the plastic pages allow for each little dent to show up very easily. This is a great tool for someone who doesn’t need to do a large amount of writing and wants to easily convert what they want into something to reference later. If you need frequent note taking… it’s not perfect.Pros…- Convenient- Great for quick note taking; meetings; on the road- Save paper from being wasted- The app is a nice way to archiveCons…- Glare on the plastic pages- Feels odd to write on compared to actual paper- Not all that helpful for someone who does a LOT of writing- Pages show their wear after a month or so- Pens start to stick and slide after a whileThis has it’s place… for someone like me with heavy writing needs, there are too many small inconveniences to make this worth while all the time, a great addition to my office but not a main tool to use.

Overrated , not good as everyone is tells it is !!!
Cons:-You can only use this notebook with Pilot Frixion Erasable pens . (They are not cheap)-The “paper” is plastic . Meaning that the ink doesn’t stick well so you can erase but it just doesnt stick to the paper you will have to write sometimes the same things twice .(Bonus : since the ink does not stick as a left handed this is even worst since everything is getting clean wiped by your own hand)-To wipe the page clean you will need to rub very hard because the ink only disappears with heat.Pros:=The app works perfectly fine . Has a lot of way for you to organize your notes.=Very compact and thin notebook

I was not expecting much from this purchase but now have to rethink life. I have been looking into an e-ink notebook and my wife bought me the Remarkable 2, but it was a gift and I bought this around the same time, not knowing she had purchased it. Now I am torn on which one to keep and I leaning on sending the Remarkable back.My favorite thing about Rocketbook is the writing feel. It is not just a natural writing experience but my writing comes out beautiful and satisfying. I much prefer the writing experience to anything e-ink.It is also $30 instead of $400. That does not even include the pens and folio you need with the e-ink reader. The Rocketbook has a great app that may take a few extra steps but once set up is pretty simple and has integrations to Google Drive, OneNote, email, Trello, Evernote, todoist, and more. Once set up, you just mark the box you want to integrate the note to. The screen capture works well but not a lot of frills, or none that I have drilled down into yet.The notebook itself is a combination of a dry erase board and notebook but it works well. Sure, I have to get a wet cloth and wipe it down to get all the ink off after a few minutes but its not a huge deal. The handwriting is smooth, clean, feels good, and looks like I am writing with a pilot .7 G-2 pen.If you are a tech lover, then this may not be the purchase for you. If you are looking to do away with the need for a smart device to remove distractions, then this may not be the purchase for you. But if you are looking to simply take beautiful notes that you can digitize easily, then this could be a great product for you.

Rocketbook products are so incredibly cost efficient, it’s unbelievable!I’ve had my Rocketbook Fusion ( the purple one) for a long time! Since May of 2024 and it still works amazingly! I’ve been reusing it for school notes and planning has been so much easier! It helps me improve as a person just to have a great planner like this where you can keep all your pages in your phone like a photo gallery! I got a bigger core one so that I could have a notebook specifically for school. The fusion will be specifically for planning and money management. If you are a college student like me who wants a notebook option that will save them money, help them maximize their learning, and organize their life, they need to get the Rocketbook! I hope this helps someone with their decision!
