I am revising the review. I used it to steam artichokes for 50 minutes. I got busy and didn’t pay attention to water level. The pan melted on the stove. Fortunately I was nearby. It’s an okay product, but don’t like it run dry or you might have a fire. I suppose this is a problem with any pan, but the metal on this one was particularly thin.Previous review: This works great. I put coconut cream in the sweet rice when it is done and serve it with mango. This is an easy way to steam things.

It seems ok quality…. Light aluminum pot. Unfortunately the pot arrived with a huge dent. I needed it to cook over the weekend so I didn’t return. Basket also has some larger holes at the bottom and it seems like rice might fall out.Also much larger than I expected but that’s my bad for not checking the size.

NOT AS ADVERTIZED. Like others what you get is a Car brand rice steamer NOT the high quality steamer asvertized. Bamboo weaving has large holes in the bottom that rice easily falls through so you have to use a banana leaf or some sort of covering to prevent the rice from ending up in the water.
