    Must Read!
Melody Wilding has gone beyond what books like Quiet – Susan Cain or Highly Sensitive Person – Elaine Aron started. She draws on her own experience and work with coaching clients to help readers identify the qualities and strengths of a “sensitive striver” and provides practical tools and strategies to hone your sensitive qualities. Must read!

Must have for anyone struggling with success in career, overthinking, burnout
This is a book I wish I had sooner! The concepts resonated deeply with me. It’s very well written, easy to follow, authentic. It has made me feel empowered, feel that it is OK to have these issues and feelings around matters that I’ve struggled with on a regular basis. I don’t feel alone after all, and it gives comfort and permission to truly be me and express it that way as there are others on the same boat. A fresh perspective to look at the self and the environment, and turn the tables around.I like the format and worksheets supplied, and I plan to spend more time contemplating and reflecting on those activities, which truly enrich the experience of the reader.

This book is written as if Melody had studied me for years. Never have I felt more heard, seen, valued, appreciated, and empowered for being who I am: a Sensitive Striver. This book is wonderfully written and superbly organized (each section and chapter within is structured with an educational intro, relatable stories based on Melody’s experience with her clients, “Get Unstuck” strategies, thoughtful exercises, and much more) to help you get the most out of everything the book has to offer.Melody’s authentic self also shines on each and every page. She goes out of her way to make the book conversational rather than just talking at you, which many authors in this space, unfortunately, tend to do. While I’ve never had Melody as an executive coach, I felt like I was having a 1:1 with her each time I sat down to read another chapter. It made the experience all the more intimate and impactful. Best of all, I feel empowered as a Sensitive Striver and no longer feel the need to incessantly apologize for being who I am at home, with friends, or in the workplace. It’s my superpower, not a limitation or a shortcoming. Can’t recommend this book enough and cannot wait for her next one.

I was very exited waiting for several days to receive this Book. Until I recently opened the package and found out that it came with the hardcovers and dust jacket damaged. The pages are bent (distorted) too.Besides that, the quality of the paper looks cheap and the front hardcover itself doesn’t have any art.I was expecting more from a product coming from the USA.Can’t say anything about the content yet, but I’ll post it here once I have a complete and objective review of it.I’ll give it one star for now.

    Worth it

This book has has a transformational effect on me, and I resonated with every single word. It was recommended to me my my career mentor, and really lifted my spirits when I needed it most; in a new, senior leadership role. I had been doubting myself for so long that it was amazing to finally have what I’d been feelings put into words. Melody has carried this out fantastically. With tools, exercises to work through, and real life examples of people putting this into practice it has shifted the way I view myself. I now feel confident in ability, and when my spirits need lifting, I pick up and read this book. I will always keep this close to me! Highly recommend!!!

This book is written in a clear and very understandable way, and I love that it provides self-quizzes and delivers a practical step-by-step approach in how to achieve your personal goals as a Sensitive Striver. For me the “Honor roll hangover” concept was new and very relatable. I feel that the “Five – day Honor roll hangover detox” helped alot with raising self-awareness and first of all acknowledging perfectionism, people-pleasing and overfunctioning in everyday life, and then putting effort in changing these unhelpful thinking patterns. The note at the Introduction part suggesting to have a special notebook that could be used to capture insights and action items in the moment was also helpful. It helps as a reflection of all the progress that is being made, what motivates me a lot, and capturing insights helps to create a more personal bond with the self-change process. At first I was honestly amazed, and even a bit shocked how accurate the descriptions of a Sensitive Striver at page 15 resonated with my personality, I checked off all of them. It is the first time I find such a book that explains rationally and supportively such personality traits and ways how to transform them to your own unique strength. I feel a relief knowing that there are more people having a similar mindset and similar issues, also it’s rewarding to see the slow, but firm progress. The hardest part is to make it a habit and to appreciate even the smallest progress, not always expecting bigger or faster changes. Also the personal stories of other people make reading the book more relatable. I like it that there’s not an overload of facts which you would have no idea how to apply, but there are real life examples and step-by-step approaches that make the journey more relatable and the results more tangible. Overall I’m really glad that I discovered this book.
