Stockpots are true do-it-alls when it comes to any liquid-related cooking. They have tall sides which reduce evaporation so thinner stocks and soups maintain their light consistency. With a wide, flat base, you can even Saute your soup ingredients right in the pot without having to use an additional pan. As part of our D3 Collection, this Stockpot features a bonded tri-ply construction made with a responsive aluminum core pressed together with 2 layers of durable, stainless steel all the way around the surface, for fast and even heat. At a whopping 12 quarts, it’s the perfect size for making chili for big games or a big stockpile of chicken stock. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it’s handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that’ll last a lifetime and never go out of style. A flat, stainless-steel lid is included to lock in moisture. Handles & handle loops are made in China.

16 Quart stockpot is made in China with questionable quality
I never used it. Sent it back right away.I didn’t realize it wasn’t made at their factory alongside almost everything else All-Clad makes. It had weird scuffs and oil on it. It’s not all one piece like their other pots, the bottom was misaligned with the rest of the pot and the was a prominent lip that you could catch your finger nail on.It cost a lot of money and the quality simply wasn’t there. I ended up buying the USA made 12 quart stockpot for a bit more and I couldn’t be happier with it.

    CHINESE Made at USA Pricing
The title says it all. This is not the USA item that has been applauded for eons as one of the best cookwares available. This one is made in China but still packs a hefty price tag. This has the encapsulated base versus the all clad models which are all one piece. I guess All clad is making an effort to lower prices but this is still pricey. You would figure that if they sunk down to making it in China the prices would drop but it didn’t . Not sure if these were always from China but the box indicates Designed in USA and made in China. From a quick overview the handles seem well made but since this is a two piece base I feel it is a compromise

Spent an hour cleaning it out of the box – extremely annoyed and disappointed
I spent a lot of money on this pot because I wanted a high-quality, long lasting large stock pot. Structurally, this pot seems okay but it arrived with black machine oil and dirt on all the machined surfaces: e.g.; upper and lower surfaces of the lid edge, inside and outside surfaces of the lip of the pot, and the corner between the bottom and side of the pot. It was extremely difficult and time-consuming to remove, and after using hot soapy water and a dish cloth for 50 minutes, still more came off with paper towels and 99% rubbing alcohol. I contacted All-Clad and they wrote back to say that I should take it up with Amazon! As though some stooge at Amazon had taken the time to apply the dirt and machine oil to the product before it was sold. It was definitely the result of a shoddy manufacturing process in China, where this was made.I paid a lot of money for this and I expected a pot that was clean when new. Apparently All-Clad doesn’t agree because they took ZERO responsibility for a manufacturing defect. The last time I buy an All-Clad product.

All-Clad is generally my favourite, this time I didn’t have a good experience.
I’m probably a bit over critical here, because it has been a bad experience overall too.I bought the 6 quart version back in January, and IT IS AMAZING, I love it. So I decided that I wanted an 8 quart for doing pasta and bigger dishes and ordered it. The first package arrived, and it’s labeled as the 8 quart, but the box contained a 6 quart?? Amazon did a great job of replacing it within a couple of days. Unfortunately, what’s in the picture showed up.It looks like a factory second. All around where the rim is rolled there are gouges (not scratches). I have the feeling that either it wasn’t at the correct temperature when they deep-drawed the pot, or the tooling wasn’t properly lubricated. Either way, I have no confidence the layers won’t separate over time.Already processed my return, and given up on wanting a replacement if I can’t touch it in person first.

Good but not as good as d5
Really good pot but if you have not seen the d5 brushed ones from All-Clad. D5 brushed is way better than this d3 one.

Yeah, it’s expensive. It’s also a great stock pot.We have slowly converted all of our cook wear to either AllClad or Lecreuset over the last 10 years. It’s expensive, but it DOES perform at a noticeably higher level than the cheaper options. It also basically lasts forever.Do you NEED this to cook great meals? Nope. 100% you don’t. Does it help? Yes!I really like the shape for this particular size/volume. It’s wider than many of the other pots with this volume – and that helps with searing stuff like large cuts of meat and the like. One note: Don’t put these in the dishwasher. I was caught up in an AllClad recall where the pots were officially dishwasher rated, but washing them that way caused the aluminum core to erode out and left sharp edges. Hand washing and using barkeepers friend to take off any gnarly burned on stuff works really well.
