‘Slow down. Live in the moment.’
New York author Katrina Blecher earned her degree in economics from Barnard College, Columbia University and very successfully served as a security analyst on Wall Street. She then became a certified professional hypnotherapist from the International Association of Counselors and Therapists and founded Kate’s Holistic Healing, Inc. She now aids her clients in using their own bodies’ natural power to heal. She has written two motivational self-help books – JOURNEY INTO KNOWLEDGE and now JOURNEY INTO HEALTH – both brief books in which she shares the impact of her Spirit Guides on finding peace and good health.Alternative medicine – holistic medicine – is steadily moving into the forefront of attention as we face the A.I. and high tech transformation of traditional medicine, at times making that approach to health digitalized and at times sadly impersonal. Katrina (Kate) presents to approach to health – self-healing, emotional healing, physical healing – through hypnotherapy and meditation and conversations with spirit guides. In her introductory comments she offers, ‘This book is the result of many conversations I have had with my spirit guides on how to fix a medical problem or disease. I have experienced and lived through over 40 medical conditions and diseases, from slight to terminal, and luckily, my spirit guides have been with me through them all. They have taught me how to cope with all sorts of feelings that accompany different types of illness, large or small. They have provided healing techniques that aided me in my quest for a healthier body and soul. Here I write about my experiences and share with you the plethora of knowledge and information I have receive from my loving healing, wonderful group of spirit guides. I hope that you will benefit from reading about them, apply what you learn to your own life and grow in the knowledge of self-healing through meditation and hypnosis.’Explaining the self-hypnosis is a skill instilled in us from birth, Kate proceeds to introduce us as to how to access this skill and utilize it, with meditative techniques, to get in touch with our innate ability to self heal. Her writing is clear and concise and her manner of motivational advice is sound. Early on she dispels the misconception that hypnosis, and self-hypnosis, can make us do things we do not want to do, and it is that degree of caring that she shares her own experiences and offers advice on how to enter the art, the gift, of self healing. A fine adjunct to the journey into health. Grady Harp, December 19

I have previously heard plenty about the value of meditation as a part of self-healing, while I haven’t don’t much research on how I would be able to help myself with it. This is some in-depth information on how it can be seen as a sort of self-help without necessarily only going to a silent place daily for a certain practice that is a cleansing or healing. It seems like this would be an incredible way to help relax, gain answers to the issues that put me into stress, and so much more. I think I will be able to follow some of these tips to help myself in the future for many health and relaxation needs that I have!

I’ve always been interested in the topic of self-healing and understanding the power of hypnosis and meditation, and I think Katrina Blecher has done a great job distilling this topic into understandable, and more importantly, implementable bits of information. There’s a lot of discussion about our body’s natural way to heal which I really enjoyed, as well as the healing exercises provided. She provides well-detailed explanations about what she is recommending, and her experience shines through – really liked this one!

With the new year upon us, I am in the mood for a good self-help book. When I read the first half of the title, “Journey into Health: Heal Yourself with Meditation,” I thought this book is perfect. When I read the second part of the title, “and the Aid of your Spirit Guides.” I was a bit less sure.First, the book was appealing because I have been having chronic colds and back issues this winter, so I thought trying something a bit different might be interesting and, at the very least, wouldn’t hurt. However, the second part of the title did give me pause. I am not familiar with Spirit Guides and don’t know how to feel about that part of the book. So, after noticing the title, the next part that caught my attention was the artwork on the cover. I thought the cover of the book looked quite fitting for a meditation style book. It is bright, refreshing, and relaxing, just the right picture for this sort of book.Of course, I moved onto the description, and I was intrigued enough to click on the “Buy” button.I liked the book and was able to take away some great meditation techniques. I thought the author provided a nice personal background and a lot of information regarding her spirit guides.Overall, I felt the book was well written. However, there are two things I would like to make a note of:1. I would have liked to see more information on how others could learn more about the journey in finding their own spirit guides, it was touched on, but I thought it would have gone deeper.2. This book should be read with an open mind, and if you are like me and are unfamiliar with spirit guides, the book is still well worth reading. Just do so with an open mind.

My Sister and my mom have Recently been very gung-ho about the holistic medicine approach to carrying themselves. Well I found the whole thing to be a little bit hokum I figured I would do a bit every search before I judge them. This is 1 of several books that I have looked into and I have to say that it is much more legitimate then I would have thought. I love the approach the author takes in this book where is she gives induct explanations about how things can heal you and fix you without having to get actual medication. The medication is often worse for you and the long run. I recommend people reading this book if you have any concerns or questions
