Although the book isn’t very long, it’s chockfull of actionable steps and truly useful suggestions. I especially appreciate the author’s down-to-earth style. So many books of this nature become self-promoting but Ashley doesn’t fall into this trap.

In her insightful book, “The Routine Building Handbook,” Ashley Brown delivers a comprehensive blueprint for anyone looking to instill order and progress into their daily lives. This book earns a solid four-star rating for its practical approach to establishing routines that are not only effective but also personalized and sustainable.Brown’s writing style is accessible and encouraging, making the sometimes-daunting task of routine creation feel achievable. She breaks down the art of routine building into manageable steps, ensuring that readers can digest and implement her strategies without feeling overwhelmed. The handbook is peppered with relatable anecdotes and real-life examples, providing a personal touch that resonates with the reader. One of the book’s strengths is its emphasis on customization. Brown understands that one size does not fit all when it comes to routines. She encourages readers to reflect on their unique lifestyles, priorities, and goals as they craft their routines. This tailored approach is refreshing and acknowledges the diverse needs and challenges individuals face in their quest for a structured life.”The Routine Building Handbook” stands out for its actionable content. Each chapter concludes with exercises and prompts that inspire readers to put theory into practice. Brown’s inclusion of these practical components transforms the book from a mere source of information to an interactive guide that actively involves the reader in the process of change.Furthermore, the book offers a balanced view of routine building, highlighting both the benefits and potential pitfalls. Brown doesn’t shy away from discussing the obstacles that can derail our best intentions, such as burnout or rigidity in our schedules. Her realistic take on these challenges, coupled with her tips for overcoming them, adds depth to the book and makes her advice all the more credible. If there’s an area where “The Routine Building Handbook” could improve, it might be in offering even more varied case studies to cover an even broader range of scenarios. While the examples provided are helpful, additional diversity in the routines presented could enhance the book’s applicability for an even wider audience.

I have been looking to revamp my routines for a very long time. I searched for routine books on Amazon and found this book.I love this book for the following reasons:✨There is consideration for when you have low energy or life gets in the way.✨There are so many examples of routines.✨It’s progress that you build upon.✨There’s a whole section for mom’s and routines that children and teens can follow. I’m not a mom of humans but I did read this section and learned a lot for myself and things that I will share in my Child Development classes.✨FAQ sections! There’s plenty more but one thing that I really like was that there was the REFLECTION WORK! The author gives her honest story and how she reflected. There is space inside the book to do the reflective work too. This book was a quick read too. I finished it within a day. I’m in the process of going back and highlighting and writing down notes. I did start with my morning routine because that’s the one that stumps me the most.Ashley is genuine and a genius and I can’t thank her enough! I’m definitely going to preorder her planner for that structure to develop my routines even further as mine change a little more in the Fall. Go check her out at @routineandthings now!
