For the goal-lovers!
As a Hurdle Podcast fan, host Emily has shared her love for the Self Journal on a few occasions. What immediately appealed to me was the habit tracker and daily prompts (gratitude, goals, targets, “what will make today great”). I’m a few months into a new job and was looking for more tools to keep me organized and pushing forward in my goals – this journal is IT! Definitely recommend!

Perfect Quarterly Journal
I’ve gone through about 13 of these journals and they’ve been life changing. I studied positive psychology and cognitive science in university, this journal integrated those principals into the design to achieve more and stay present to your priorities. Highly recommend!!

Great layout but takes too much time to fill out and use properly
I am a busy working mom and I need these bullet journals to keep my priorities in order every day. I loved the ability to choose top 3 goals, something I was grateful for, the schedule space, and the blank facing page for taking down notes.I didn’t use any of the goal setting functions though. It took too long (for me) to fill out. If I had more time, this might have been really nice.

I really like this journal/calendar. It’s the second one i get. I’ve gotten the yellow and now the aqua color, and the colors really make me happy. The picture is of the third journal I ordered from them. Ignore the scratches, I did that. I should say it happened in my purse, so it easily gets stained. I thought it was going to be a soft pink but it was definitely gray.

I have found these veru helpful for several years and the book itself is very well made BUT the black elastic strap is very stretched out and flaps around instead of staying close to the notebook and the promised back pocket doesn’t exist and there is no daily ritual cards in the box as promised. Makes me wonder about continuing to buy these if no one is checking to be sure that all is as it should be.

I just received my Best Self Journal yesterday. I had bought 2 of these previously as I liked the 13 week format. That being said, when the latest journal arrived I found the planner to be rather different in quality than before. The paper is thinner and rougher at the same time. I can see my pen marks from the opposite side of the page. The translucency makes the journal look/feel cheaper, and texture of the paper is not pleasing to touch. I miss my old journals. Too bad the cost of this new one was $34, and now I can’t return it. The previous version felt like quality, and it was worth paying for. This one, not so much.

In a single day I need to look at 5 separate pages: 13-week, month, week, day, and habit tracker. I was hoping this would help simplify my life, but I find it so complicated that I avoid using it at all. It doesn’t help that there are only 3 strings to mark the important pages. This means I have to (1) decide which of the 5 important pages are MOST important, and/or (2) go searching for the 2 remaining important pages every day. I suppose I could use bookmarks….
