    Disappointing
    I was expecting a lot more from this book. I didn’t find it very helpful for first time intro to meditation. I found it didn’t explain things very well at all. I was looking for a more in-depth research into meditation, they this book did not offer.

    Easy to read, follow and understand. A good introduction that will help you make a start and try meditating. Recommended reading.

    This is an interesting introduction to meditation. The book gives a basic introduction to meditation, including an understanding of what meditation is, i.e. “the mental state of thoughtless awareness”. It also gives some of the benefits of meditation, e.g. stress reduction. Chapter 2 focuses on ‘concentration meditation’, chapter 3 on ‘mindfulness meditation’, chapter 4 on ‘body scan meditation’, and chapter 5 contains tips and tricks on how to improve the effectiveness of your meditation. All-in-all, a useful guide to meditation.

    Meditation is a very important aspect of life as it helps one to connect with oneself and just relax completely. I am a stay home mum of two kids and I work online and of late I have been stressed as my children are all over and makes it hard for me to balance between family and working. I needed a good book to help me relax and connect with self. I got this book and it has been a good guide on meditation and I been relaxing and just connecting with self.The book is a good guide and outline the important aspects and types of meditation.
