5 reviews for Money Skills for Teens Activity Book

What a great concept! I bought the Kindle version of this book, not knowing what to expect. I was impressed by the variety of activities included in so few pages. This book includes: “trivia” questions covering budgeting, saving, investing, credit and debt, 6 word search puzzles and 5 crossword puzzles with words from various topics within money management, 24 thought-provoking “would you rather” questions, and of course, solutions in the back. The following are some minor (layout/formatting) issues that prevented me from giving it 5 stars:* It is a fixed layout book so reading it in my Kindle app on my iPad is a bit awkward due to only half a page showing at a time. I’m used to Kindle books in ePub format where you can adjust fonts and “re-paginate” the pages.* In the Trivia section, it seems redundant to repeat “Question:” at the beginning of every question.* There is a typo repeated in the instructions of every word search page: “directiona”* The solutions for the first 2 crosswords puzzles have some weird overlap of rows and columns, making them hard to read. While I like what I saw in this book, the purpose of it is unclear to me. Is it to teach important concepts? Or just to expose teens to more financial terms? Is it meant to be a companion to a full-length book? By itself it doesn’t really have enough “instructional” content but it would be a fun companion to something else that covers the terms and concepts in more depth.

This is a well-written, well-organized, nicely illustrated book filled with actionable suggestions for living a life of financial success. Highly recommend! Very easy to understand with practical suggestions and review questions to cement understanding.

Nice book, interesting and will sure catch teenager’s attention. I like this book and like it even more because there are answers in the back. I like this book, at the beginning I though it was a teaching book, but its only questions. That would be my only fault with it. Should have a learning book to go with it or some information at the beginning then questions to answer. But otherwise well written and done book.

This is a collection of activities for children who know financial basics. The “would you rather” section has lots of good questions, but unless a child has prior knowledge of debt, interest rates, stocks and so on, it would be hard to have a meaningful conversation. Something is off with the layout of the book; the title is cut off on many pages.I would recommend it for a child who loves finance, but not as a way to expose children to new concepts about money.

“Money Skills for Teens Activity Book” is fun activity book that introduces financial terms and knowledge in a fun and entertaining way. It’s both fun and educational. There are jeopardy questions, cross words, word search puzzles and would you rather, which is great for creative thinking and critical thinking.
