I would only buy from Instant Pot…these are my reasons.
These are Instant pot sealing rings, I would never suggest using other silcone rings that are not tested with Instant pot. . The manufacture makes a great instant pot. They know their product and what works well and performs well for their pot. Using rings that have been tested to perform well with their pot well…I will not use another ring, since I believe theirs have been tested and I have talked with the company when I have concerns or question. They have strong knowledge and support. They will not steer you wrong.I have used these rings, they wash well and performance to seal are good on the pot. Is color really that important.2 minutes, with a cup of water, vinegar and a splash of lemon juice. on STEAM !! perfect no smell. FDA approved !! right from your own home. :)Buying from another vendor other than IP ? see if they have tested in the instant pot first, the performance may affect the pressure . Also the IP natural color rings, they meet FDA requirements. It’s documented.Colored rings in other colors, may not be FDA approval. All plastics sealing rings of any kind, must meet Food approved requirements. Do your homework before buying the colored rings and ask if these rings that are approved and tested.You pay good money for your IP, why would you take the risk to use another manufactures that does not support the value of the IP product.You get what you pay for it, IP supports any quality and manufacture defects. If you use some other supplier and you have failure.Don’t count on IP to support the failure , you did it to yourself by not using the right ring to support the product.The company has invested alot of technology on their product, it sells by leaps and bounds, why ? Because it’s an amazing IP. I have two !! IP. I have the older version and a new version. Cottage and home.One day the old one will go, I use it so much. 🙂 Love my IP.Who will I buy ? Instant Pot, I can count on them to answer my questions if I call, if I have a tech question. I call them . That’s what they are their for.Do your research , buy quality based ring ! Genuine Instant Pot Sealing Ring 2-Pack – 8 Quart Red/BlueAfter reading several mixed reviews of sealing rings from other vendors (which appeared up front on Amazon listings), I looked for the genuine spare parts manufactured by InstantPot themselves, and I was glad I did. They fit perfectly well the lid of my 8qt instant pot. I appreciate they arrived promptly in a box, so they are not twisted, which was a common complaint from people who bought from other vendors. The quality is good and the colour coding is a plus. In other words I’m happy with my purchase.

Good replacement Rings
I like the colour coding of these rings. Its nice to have one for savoury and one for sweet. Or one just for the famous Instantpot buttechicken. They are easy to clean, remove and reinsert. I find they aren’t quite as tight fitting as the original sealing rings that come with the instantpot, but they do work well.

Work just as good as the ones that come with the Instant Pot!
After using the original packaged rings for 5 years I noticed that they were severely worn out and ordered these as a replacement.The rings arrived undamaged and in good condition smelling like factory new.They were easy to install and fit right into the spot the old rings used to occupy.After making a few dishes with the instant pot I can verify that the new rings are working and it takes less time to build up pressure using them resulting in faster meal cook time 🙂

•• Direct replicas, aside from the color ••I’ve had an Instant Pot since August 2016, and I still haven’t had the original ring flake on me. I bought these replacements to ensure I have backups in case the price ever spikes. They are exact replicas made by Instant Pot, and they work exactly like my original Instant Pot ring.To be honest, I still use my 3 year old ring. There is one issue, however, but I consider it negligible. Occasionally, when I’m cooking something like chicken breasts, I open up the top and see that they’re undercooked. Naturally, I want to put the lid back on, bring it quickly back to pressure, and resume cooking. At this point, the expansion of the ring from heat and moisture causes difficulty resealing. Half the time, it’s fine as long as I make sure to slot it back in properly, but sometimes it’s a little too warped. In those cases, it’ll attempt to go back up to pressure and then “POOF!!” out comes the pressure steam in a downward spurt. There’s no explosion. There’s no splatter of doom. It just poofs all the building moisture out because the seal can’t catch. It barely impacts my countertop, even. That’s why I love me the safety mechanisms of new-age Instant Pot. So awesome.•• Criticisms ••I noticed a highly-voted, 3 star review states that they have to replace their ring every 6 months. This confuses me because of my own 3 year ring still going strong, and I cook an awful lot with the Instant Pot — at least once or twice a week, even if I’m just quick-cooking some veg.I wrote a comment on their review that said,”I’m only writing this because you say, “they fail to maintain our confidence in their ability to maintain the seal,” indicating that you may not have actually ever had a pressure leak — you’re just replacing at 6 months before it gets there. I recommend letting the seal work until it flat out doesn’t anymore. Like I said, I’ve had mine for 3 years without a problem. If it has flat out FAILED, then that sucks. You must be cooking a whole lot. I bought these replacements pre-emptively just in case they didn’t stay this cheap or weren’t officially from Instant Pot. How often do you cook with it that you have to replace it every 6 months? I’m just curious.”To reiterate, I find it strange that they had to buy new rings every 6 months. I think they key word is that they don’t have “confidence” in their seals… but as I’ve said, even if your seal “FAILS,” it’s not a big deal. Either they’re cooking with it EVERY day, or they have faulty rings from imitation companies, or… they’re lemons? I’m not sure, but I’m definitely happy with the quality and longevity that genuine instant pot seals have proffered.•• Ensuring you buy from INSTANT POT ••These are the real deal made by Instant Pot for Instant Pot. Several negative reviews I’ve seen are from people that bought “cheaper” from a third party shipper. Typically, in those cases, the shipping alone tends to cost more than buying them from Amazon. Make sure if you’re buying anything from Amazon that they have “Prime shipping” available so you know you’re receiving them FROM Amazon, and thus, from Instant Pot. Otherwise, yes, you could be getting imitation garbage from random sellers. This literally goes for any item on Amazon.

Good to have for the Instant Pot!
We use our Instant Pot a lot and when the seal on the lid stopped working, it was helpful to have a few of these already at the house. They fit perfectly, with easy removal and replacement and we could use the Instant Pot right away.

I started to notice my lid not fitting correctly, and the seal was loose. I ordered a new seal for the lid and it worked. I could of bought a less expensive ring but I am so glad I did not, this ring fits right in and holds tight, nice and thick product. My inst-pot working like new again. well worth the money.
