Paid for new, received used
Just opened what I thought would be a brand-new camera. Scuffs and scratches all over the front. Disappointed.

Overall these are great cameras for the price. However, if you interested in 30 fps capability your best bet is going with the C110 (white) model. I originally picked picked up a C110 model, and after it updated firmware to v1.4.3 it was able to do 2K video at 30fps max. Awesome considering. 🙂 So I decided to pick up a C111 (black) version to mount on my Bambu printer. However after setup it would only update firmware to v1.3.14 and has a fixed frame rate that looks like 15fps. That’s a pretty big different in quality. Both the C110 and C111 I received report they are hardware revision 2.0 (although the C110 seems like it must something newer according to the firmware lists on the TP Link site). So it’s a bit of a crapshoot ordering here. If you want the best chance at 30fps, go with the C110 and hopefully it is a new enough version. Removing a star for consistency. If both could do 30fps, an easy 5 star. They literally are the same physically, so I ended up opening them both up and swapping out the internals 🙂

I have blink cameras and have two of these and the blink isn’t as delayed and you can hear out of them better than these (that’s what I’m basing this review off of). But these work well and I like that you can use a mini sd card with them instead of having to use the cloud. I use these for indoors and have them linked to my Alexa with a screen so I can view them in my room. The app works really well and isn’t buggy. I got them on a good sale and would buy them again if I ever needed to.We use these instead of a baby monitor because the quality of the camera was SO much better with these!
