Not suitable!
These drive socket appear to be slightly off-center with the Vitamax motor spindle; they caused enough vibration that the entire Vitamix mixer was moving around vigorously on the counter top and had to be held down with both hands. I have returned these sockets and purchased a genuine Vitamix socket; a bit more expensive but no vibration issue whatsoever…

We’ve had our Vitamix for over 12 years now. The original socket was so worn down we couldn’t even use it. We have a lot of kids in our home who use the blender so our Vitamix has gotten a lot of wear and tear over the years. I looked online how to fix it, and had no idea that I could just replace the socket. Of course Amazon was the first place I looked, and I stumbled across these. After reading the reviews I figured it was worth the try. So I ordered it and I must say, it took me a while at first to switch out the old one and insert the new one. But once I finally did, it worked like new! I’m so glad I gave this a try! It’s brought our old Vitamx back to life and we are able to use tit everyday without any problems.

Worked just fine, just follow the instructions and make sure you check to make sure it’s balanced before starting the motor. If any vibration, just reset the set screw.

My Vitamix wasn’t spinning, and I looked up why. It said the drive socket wasn’t working, probably stripped. The only place I knew that would have it was Amazon, and they had a kid of two, so I could save one for the next time. Just be careful. Don’t overload your basket with too much ice and mixed mixtures.
