When my teapot (and 4 cups and saucers – ordered separately) arrived, the beauty of it stunned me. I could not believe how much more beautiful it was in person than the photos show! I’ve served tea with friends several times, along with the cups and saucers that coordinate, and the tea kept nice and warm-hot at the perfect temperature. My guests were also stunned by its beauty! They said that I now was a certified tea snob, LOL! They asked me how many hundreds of dollars the teapot was; of course, I didn’t spill that bit of tea. It is my favorite beautiful, elegant teapot that also happens to keep the tea at the perfect temperature. You will need your own infuser or to steep the tea in another pot, then fill this teapot with the steeped tea. I very highly recommend this teapot and the coordinating teacups and saucers! EDIT: It has been 3 years since I purchased this teapot. I have a neurological disease that is progressive; I drop things easily. I am still in love with this gorgeous, functional teapot; I’d be devastated to break it!! So, I bought another one, left it in its Styrofoam package, and put it in a safe place for the “just in case” scenario!! I still cannot say enough good about the teapot and the accessories that I’ve purchased. EDIT: I saw the new Reinmoson large and small stainless steel tea infusers, was intrigued, and used the large one to steep 6 teaspoons of full-leaf, loose-leaf tea in the teapot. I wasn’t disappointed!! I’ve used the small ones in my tea mugs, and the results were terrific! Very miniscule amount of tea powder was left at the bottoms of the teapot and tea mugs. I’m used to 1/8th to 1/4 teaspoon of tea powder in each tea mug; much more in the pot. I haven’t tried either infuser in my teacups (8-ounce cups). Just an FYI for those of us who prefer loose- and full-leaf teas.
