    love this pot
I love my cast iron this is my first enameled pot. I have gas stove and this pot has more consistent simmer then my previous pots (stainless).

Issues re weight and quality of ceramic coating
This small pot ie EXTREMELY heavy, empty. Not suitable for for anyone who is not have the ability to lift VERY heavy items with one hand. A hot pot filled with a bubbling sauce that needs to be removed from heat quickly, or not, and carried to a work counter, would be hazardous for anyone lacking the strength to carry a hot pot, with only a slip on heat protector. Adding a small handle on the opposite side, and relocating the pour spout, would be a much more ergonomic design, allowing more of your target market to be able to safely utilize this item. Also, after the initial clean, I saw that the thin ceramic coating had already chipped off one of the drip nipples on the under side of the lid. This is an indication of problems to come.

I’d been looking for a nice enameled cast iron sauce pot for awhile, one with an extended handle and one suited more so stovetop cooking. I have a very large collection of enameled cast iron cookware, all individually purchased from different brands and I have all different shapes and sizes… Strangely I didn’t own a long handled sauce pan, so when I found this sauce pot at half price, I had to buy it despite some negative reviews.I recently purchased a 3.5qt enameled cast dutch oven from this specific manufacturer about a week ago and absolutely love it, so I had to come back to purchase once again. My second purchase was this 2qt sauce pot in “Green”, it’s isn’t a traditional green, it’s more seafoam, very similar to Martha Stewarts signature blue color… Which is essentially a 50s aqua marine, either way I love the color! The sauce pot has weight and heft, it screams quality and leaves no question about durability… Though enameled anything can be fragile, of course proper care, handling and storage must be considered for longevity. This pot offers the perfect capacity for sides, sauces and smaller meals preferably for 2, will probably become my most used pot in the kitchen due to my everyday cooking demands.Other reviewers mentioned damage upon arrival or imperfections in the pots finish, mine came in pristine condition though I can see were the packaging could be better to prevent possible shipping damage. Some have mentioned a “short/skinny” handle, that it was a problem when handling. Well, I can’t agree… it looks and feels like any other standard 2qt enameled cast iron sauce pan I’ve looked at online and in person. Additionally, theres a second smaller “dutch style” handle on the opposite side of the pot, so why wouldn’t you use both handles if you need to move or pick up the pot if the long single handle a problem? The included pot handle holder is also very nice, although it’s slightly oversized and rolls on the handle when used, which is okay because I can use it on my larger skillets, also have leather pot holders so a hot sleeve isn’t a make or break it, not something I was expecting anyway.Overall, highly recommend purchasing, even at full price, it’s worth it!

Great sauce pot, well made, nicely enameled I stole it for 14 bucks. I was concerned if a lot of the names you never heard of were safe to use.I have a collection of CN manufactured enameled cast iron. I treat them like they were costly, why not? and all of them have all passed with flying colors on being LEAD FREE ON THE INTERIORS & EXTERIORS OF THE POTS & PANS…GOOD TO KNOW … I have about 10 pieces…No chips no bubbling of interior . I think a lot of folks may not know how to properly use this type of cook ware. I heat them up at medium before adding ingredients and when cooking with them I may go a tad higher but not even to medium high temp.I dont throw em around and when using tools in them I use wood and food safe silicone .If they get stained on the bottoms… heat up some water on the stove top and throw in a few tbsp’s of oxygen cleanser and boil it for 20 mins. Shut heat off, throw lid on and let it sit over night. Come back in the AM nice & clean. !!

This pot is adorable. I love the color pink and I love cast iron so I had to have it. I want one smaller than this though. This one is perfect for ramen.I’m no chef just a mom that cooks everyday, so my opinion on the matter should be taken with a grain of salt, but I feel like the handle is much to small for the weight of the pot.I don’t know logistics, but the pot feels very unbalanced. I feel if the handle was thicker, it would be much better. When I’m handle if the pot while cooking or washing it, feels like imma drop it.Also the handle cover that comes with it feels useless to me. It’s much bigger than the handle and very wide. Makes it hard to grip.
