Quality cast iron
These pair of cast iron pans are nicely pre seasoned. For a pair they are good value. Check the size you need. They are a bit small for our bread baking needs but likely good for specialty breads like fruit loafs or banana bread where the slices are not sandwich size. Like all cast iron they are heavy.

I used these to bake Japanese milk bread and they work really well. They maintain heat really well. Much better than the thin metal baking pans with nonstick coating. I find that the Loaf Pans with non stick coating works well to prevent the bread from sticking to the sides but non stick is not healthy for you. These are cast iron. I simply oil them and use parchment paper on the sides of the cast iron loaf and that prevents the bread from sticking. Love these pans. Only complaint is that I wish the side walls were taller by maybe 1.5″.

Make the best bread
I don’t think I could go back to any other kind now. I love the way cast iron bakes. I always grease for ease of release and with something like cranberry bread I put a piece of parchment paper in the bottom.

These have worked well. I use the stacked to create little Dutch oven to bake my sourdough loaves. They are good quality, heavy (normal for cast iron) and easy to clean and oil.I did get one set with the handle chipped and rusting, but sent back and got a second set and they have been good!

Arrived in box when opened the handles are scratched back to bare metal. Flakes of black came out of the box. Will be returning both orders. It’s unusual most Lodge products are excellent. Not happy with last 2 purchases… definitely returning all 3.

Lodge cast iron is the pinnacle of quality. The size of these pans is perfect so that I can bake eight loaves at a time using two oven racks. Hithertoo, I have only baked baguettes, but reasoned that sandwiches might be easier if I had traditional sandwich loaves. The pans rock! They transfer heat beautifully, clean easily & they stack to store efficiently.
