This is a great muffin pan! And I love the terra cotta color the best. This material does a superior job of releasing food, so it’s perfect for a muffin pan.It’s hard to find anything wrong with this line of bakeware. There are only a few details that may prevent this line from being perfect for you:They are hefty, thick-walled and durable, but those features make these heavier than most. Other than that, everything about this Caraway line of non-stick, ceramic-coated, thick and heavy duty aluminum is elegant and top quality. This line has heirloom potential. I wish something like this would have been around when I was first starting out on my cooking adventure (that never ends).The inside surface material allows for satisfying browning, it releases easily and does not buckle. It is super easy to clean.I am a well-established home cook, with plenty of pots and pans. From the look and feel of this line of bakeware, I anticipate that I will never need to buy another pan–unless I need a size that Caraway does not make. I like the colors, I like the glittery look and the hefty feel of these pans–their weight and the sleek and slippery inside and outside surfaces.The rims are curled, but so far I don’t notice an accumulation of rinse water collecting in those curled rims. Color-wise, the pictures on the product pages are accurate. The “Navy” color is dark–not a bright navy. All the colors look good together, so mix the colors and be guaranteed they will match.Packaging–in my opinion–is overkill. To the point that it is hard to open the box if the tape is really secure. At the very least, be aware that if you are gifting this, you will not be able to peak inside the box without destroying the elegant pristine look of the box. And you cannot take off the tape without it taking some of the cardboard box with it.If you are specifically looking to assemble a complete set: If you plan to add loaf pans or 9″ pans, either the round or square, be aware that they really do not stack together–maybe they fit inside an identical pan about 1/4″ to 1/3″. And when stacked, they too easily slide into a tilt. Also be aware that pan sizes are limited.
