So far, so good. The finish is great and it’s a good size for stir frying.

  4. Bluefunk

This has a nice weight to it and feels like a good quality robust wok/frying pan. It’s a decent size, easily accommodating a stir fry for a family of 4 (albeit we aren’t big eaters) and for the first few uses it’s been really easy to clean as nothing sticks to it (obviously that may change over time).

  5. The usual suspect

I’ve gone through phases of buying all sorts of pans. I’ve worked my way up in value and quality over the years. At one point, a few years ago, I tried a new frying pan that had appeared in my local cooking store. It was by a brand called GreenPan, who I had never heard of but the sales pitch board sounded great and so I gave it a try. I’ll be frank, it was the worst pan, I ever had. Worse that a Tefal! The ‘non-stick’ was useless after a week. I took it back but was just given useless advice on how to clean it.Anyway, 3-4 years later, I’ve decided to see if matters have improved. The marketing is still there with ‘Infinity, Extremely durable non-stick’, ‘Intense daily use’ and ‘Metal utensil safe’, plastered on the packaging. Lifetime warranty too. All sounds fantastic but then, reading the booklet that lifetime warranty is for the pan and not the coating. ‘Metal utensil safe’ is, can be used but plastic, rubber or wooden are recommended in order to prolong the life of the coating. Don’t use Extra virgin olive oil, don’t use spray oils, don’t get it too hot. It’s a sensitive soul. I knock off a star because they aren’t being very transparent with their marketing quotes.I’ve used it regularly for a few weeks as a general pan and not just as a wok. It’s still in perfect condition and I can categorically say that it’s lasting much better than my previous experience with a GreenPan. It’s a good size as a general workhorse. At this price, it’s a bargain assuming that the coating lasts a few years. You just need to treat it well and it will hopefully achieve that.
